KTM recalls approximately 7000 motor bikes injected (634 for France) because of a possible escape to the level of the fuel flexible device due to a manufacturing defect in the supplier.
No incident for the announced moment but, does not wish to take any chance, KTM decided to exchange the flexible device molded on all the models concerned. The one duration operation of approximately 30 minutes will be carried out free in concession.
The owners concerned will be contacted directly by mail, but they can now check in the section Service of www.ktm.com if their model is pointed out. For that, it is enough to seize the 17 characters of the chassis number and the number of the delivery order of the motor bike (located in the corner higher right of the delivery order). The recall relates to models KTM 2012-2013 following:
Any field 2012: 250 EXC-F Six Days, 250 SX-F, 350 EXC-F, 350 SX-F, Freeride 350.450 EXC, 500 EXC
Any field 2013: 450 EXC, 500 EXC
Road 2012: 990 Supermoto R
