There was a meeting of competitors and organizers about a cancellation of stage 12 of the 2018 Dakar Rally for those riders who were citing safety concerns since for prevented helicopters from flooding and flying in the area might have prevented passage. Originally these bikes set out for stage 12 as the last half of the race start from 348 km liaison or transfer section and 375 km of the timed special stage in the run from Fiambala to San Juan, Argentina, which is the host of the 2014 ISDE. It was not only a race but there were only two stages left which are considered the toughest and most famous off-road race in the world.
