Game on
The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike is the best choice for taking cornering to extremes while handling city traffic with the utmost agility, thanks to its high-level performance and sophisticated electronics equipment.
Motard Style
The appearance of motard motorcycles inspired the design of the new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike, which revolves around the double exhaust under the seat and the reduced structures. This enables the rider to get a glimpse of the mechanics, including the rear trellis sub-frame, which conveys an ultra-light and sleek mood to the version.
Sophisticated and Fun
The motorcycle’s ergonomics guarantee the rider maintains an erect riding position with wide elbows, thus translating into higher levels of reaction and control whatever the conditions.
The seat is flat, in professional motard style, to ease in shifting forward and backward on the seat during the ride.
Testastretta 11-degree
The engine of the new2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike is the Ducati twin-cylinder 937cc Testastretta 11-degree model, offering peak output of 114hp at 9000 rpm and flat torque curve peaking at 9.8 kgm at 7,250 rpm.
The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike features a revised 937 cu cm twin-cylinder Ducati Testastretta 11-degree fully compliant with Euro-5 emission standard regulations.
The Testastretta 11-degree features pistons with a compression ratio 13.3:1, an all-new exhaust cam profile, and an exhaust system with the silencer mounted under the seat.
Moreover, the engine features a throttle body with a 53 mm bore, which is managed by the new Ride-by-Wire throttle control system. The twin-cylinder engine sports lighter clutch and generator covers, a lighter selector drum, an aluminum belt tensioner, and brand-new magnesium head covers.
Taking the Fun up a Notch
The 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike’s style can be made even more dynamic with the help of Style and Sport packages and a wide range of Ducati Performance accessories.
Explore the dedicated accessories and technical clothing, from homologated Termignoni silencers including titanium pipes in the Sport package to the brand-new carbon fiber tank protection in the Style package.
Unit (6D IMU)
The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike features the latest and sophisticated electronics based on Bosch Six-axis inertial platform, which instantly detects the bike roll, yaw, and pitch angle in space. The package includes;
- Bosch Cornering ABS EVO (including Slide by Brake function) & Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO
- Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down EVO
- Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO
Ride Mode
The operating parameters of each control system are linked by default with the three electronic setups or Riding Modes available on the new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike. Riders can customize their riding styles and restore the parameters set by Ducati.
The Sport Riding Mode is ideal for sports-style riding on winding roads or the track. The performance-oriented electronic setup delivers the full 114 hp power of the Ducati twin-cylinder engine.
The Touring Riding Mode is extremely ideal for in-town and out-of-town riding and those who prefer a smooth ride. The Ducati twin’s 114hp is delivered according to the more safety-oriented electronic setup.
The Urban Riding Mode is designed especially for daily routine rides in city traffic and under poor grip conditions, such as rain. The twin-cylinder Testastretta mode has a 75hp power limit, and its overall electronic settings are all oriented towards excellent safety.
Instrumentation
The instrumentation of the new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike features a 4.3-inch TFT display. The graphics are similar to Panigale V4 and provide user-friendly menu navigation and setting adjustment. Each riding mode is comes with a specific color for ease of reference.
The Riding Mode setting gives a clear-cut, comprehensible overview of the current changes to the settings. It includes an explanatory drawing of the system being set up and a graduated scale that denotes whether a change is more performance—or safety-oriented.
Headlight and Indicators
The front light unit features a lightweight, compact design and a headlight with a Daytime Running Light (DRL), guaranteeing greater visibility during daylight. The rear end features an LED strip that doubles as a rear and stop light. The front LED turn indicators are linked with the hand guards to maintain the new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike’s neat lines.
Gearbox and Clutch
The engine features a wet clutch with self-servo action and anti-hop function. Its brand-new hydraulic control system, featuring adjustable levers, helps reduce lever effort.
The gearbox features a Ducati Quick Shift EVO system (DQS EVO) with an up/down function. It features lean angle information to improve the bike stability during shift changes in corners. Besides reducing shift times, the DQS EVO enables downshifts without engaging the clutch, thereby guaranteeing more effective braking into corners. The system operates in different ways for downshifts, supplementing the advanced firing and injection action during upshifts with the carefully controlled opening of the throttle for downshifts, thanks to the complete Ride-by-Wire system.
Gearbox Modifications
The gearbox mechanism has been revised to make it easier to engage neutral when the motorcycle is stationary and to ensure greater accuracy in gear selection. The system envisages that the brand-new gearshift drum rotates on the bearing, ensuring a movement with reduced friction.
Additionally, the gear lever spring is loaded to stop the system from remaining idle in the intermediate positions, thus ensuring greater accuracy.
ABS Bosch Cornering
To ensure high braking performance, backed with ultimate safety, the new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike has been equipped with an ABS Bosch Cornering System with three-level adjustment.
Level 3 is highly suitable for daily road use, road use, or slippery grip conditions. It ensures safe and stable braking under all conditions, as the rear wheel lift is kept under control under harsh braking.
Level 2 ensures both the front and rear braking systems but enables aggressive braking with softer lift-up control. This level offers higher safety under braking, even in wet conditions.
Level 1 offers a racing-like intervention logic of its cornering system up front and activates the new Slide by Brake function at the rear. This function enables sliding into corners safely with the help of the rear brake for ultimate performance in sports riding. In Level 1 option, the rear lift-up control is entirely disabled.
Frame
The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike includes a steel trellis frame with variable-section tubes weighing 2.2 lbs less than the previous model.
The bike offers a steering head angle of 25-degree, 104 mm trail, and 30 mm offset, enabling stable and safe control without compromising the agility typical of the bike. The frame is linked with the rear sub-frame, which is also a steel trellis frame derived from that of the first Hypermotard. A wide steering angle of 70 degrees enables excellent handling, while the 1,493mm wheelbase gives greater stability at high speeds.
The fuel tank, with a capacity of 14.5 liters, lends the Hypermotard 950 great overall range without spoiling its essential curvy lines. The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike has a single-sided aluminum swingarm.
Suspension
The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike is equipped with a Marzocchi fork with fully adjustable 45mm aluminum tubes and stanchions and 170mm wheel travel, which is approximately 500 grams less than the unit installed on the 2023 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP.
At the rear, the new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike features a fully adjustable 48mm Ohlins fork with 185 mm wheel travel and a fully adjustable Ohlins shock absorber with 175 mm wheel travel.
Brakes
The front braking system contains two Monobloc radially mounted four-piston Brembo M4.32 calipers activated by a radial brake master cylinder with an adjustable 5-piston lever. The front end features a 320 mm disc with aluminum flanges, while the rear section has a 245mm disc gripped with a single Brembo caliper. These parts guarantee a perfect braking performance to set a benchmark in the industry, a characteristic that Ducati bikes are known for.
Wheels and Tires
The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Adventure Bike features 3-spoke y-shaped aluminum rims with 3.5 inches of section up-front and 5.5 inches section at the rear end. They are mounted with the brand-new Pirelli Diablo Rosso III types, namely 120/70 ZR17 in the front and new 180/55/55 ZR17 at the rear.
These new wheels come with weight-saving technology of approximately 1.7 lbs compared to the one used in the 2023 Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP.
