Drive Train
The cutting-edge All-New YAMAHA PW-X3 Class Drive Motor on this electric mountain bike gives the dynamic performance required. This mid-drive engine is notable since it is Yamaha’s smallest and lightest offering, with an unrivaled power-to-weight ratio. Riders may expect outstanding responsiveness and impeccably smooth power delivery, enhancing the riding experience.
The advanced Yamaha Quad Sensor placed in the YAMAHA PW-X3 engine improves the bike’s performance. This sensor includes Automatic Support and Walk Assist Modes in the riding options. With a nominal rate power of 250W and a maximum power of 500W, the motor can tackle a range of terrains. The outstanding maximum torque of 85Nm ensures a robust and effective performance, and the top speed support of 32.2 kph (20 mph) allows for rapid and thrilling journeys.
To further diversify the riding experience, the YAMAHA PW-X3 motor has several Support Modes, including ECO, Standard, High, MTB, Extra-Power, Automatic, and Walk Assist. Users may alter the bike’s assistance to fit their requirements and the demands of the terrain due to its versatility. The two bolts on the drive unit mount ensure a firm and secure connection, emphasizing the motor’s durability.
Drive Line Components
High-quality Drive Line Components support the drive motor. Gears are optimized when the 12-speed Shimano SLX CS-M7100-12 cassette is combined with the Shimano DEORE RD-M6100-SGS rear derailleur. This combination allows riders to dial in the optimal power-to-cadence ratio, resulting in a smooth and efficient cycling experience. Riders can change gears more quickly because of the better control given by the Shimano DEORE SL-M6100-R shifter. The 165mm Long PRAXIS E-CRANK Arm improves the bike’s performance and efficiency while also helping to enhance the drive line overall.
