2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Adventure Bike – Features and Specs
The World’s Longest Running Adventure Bike Story
Triumph has a long and rich history, dating back over 80 years, with a range of off-road models. The Tiger brand has been instrumental in building the adventure category since its introduction in 1936 with the first Tiger competition models. It includes the emergence and growth of rallying, racing, and adventure tourism.
When the Tiger 800 was introduced in 2010, its torque-rich triple engine, neutral and precise handling, and accessibility for all riders helped it become the market leader in the middleweight adventure sector. Additionally, in January 2018, as the new model was being rolled out, viewers of the grueling Pan-Africa Rally were given a very early preview of the new Tiger 900’s aggressive new look and refinement thanks to the “Tiger Tramontana.”
Powerful and Responsive 900cc Euro-5 Compliant Triple Engine
The all-new, high-capacity, and high-performance 900cc engine is now fully Euro 5 compliant, with a new and distinctive 1,3,2 firing sequence for improved character and feel. Pull hard and lower down, there are results. The engine also produces a unique sound, creating more input to the rider under load making it the Best Adventure Motorcycle up to 1000cc.
As a result, the low-down throttle character, sound, and feel are much more closely aligned with the twin, while the triple’s mid-range and top-end retain all of their torque, feel, and delivery. Produces a new torque engine at 7,250 rpm, 10% more than the peak torque of the previous 2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally. It also produces better performance in the rev range and low down.
Furthermore, power has increased throughout the rev range, with 95 PS at 8,750 rpm and 9% more in the midrange. When combined, it results in a more significant reaction. Roll-on times for sixth gear, 0-60 mph, and 0-110 mph, are considerably quicker than the nearest competitor and the previous generation vehicle. It also delivers a triple soundtrack that is significantly more powerful, faster, and catchy for the new 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally.
A novel, primarily optimized dual radiator setup uses less coolant volume. As a result, the rider experiences less ambient heat and better cooling efficiency. A revised radiator shape enhances the new models’ more dramatic adventure bike stance and elegance.
Its design and placement allow the engine to be placed further forward, moving the center of gravity 20mm lower and 40mm forward. While additional changes to the sump and cooling system ensure that ground clearance is not affected, they increase weight distribution for better handling and low-speed balance. In addition, a wholly redesigned airbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a new, more easily accessible air filter are included to enhance the ride.
Significantly Lighter, All-New Benchmark-Setting Chassis
Currently up to 5 kg lighter than the previous generation model, the new 2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Adventure Bike offers the most powerful and elegant Tiger ride. With its modular design, bolt-on aluminum rear subframe, and bolt-on pillion hangers, the new steel trellis frame is light and offers the most adventure-focused setup for off-road riding.
The new 2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Adventure Bike line boasts a very high suspension specification, featuring premium Marzucci or Showa components designed to deliver the best possible performance for the new industry-beating middleweight adventure bikes. Brembo Stylema® brakes dominate the category and are now standard on the new 2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Adventure Bike for increased stopping power.
These high-performance, lightweight, compact, and carefully designed calipers have less volume around the brake pads and pistons, reducing internal brake fluid space and faster braking. Provides feedback. Improved airflow around the brake pads facilitates speedier cooling of the calipers.
A new modular chassis, lightweight engine, high-spec suspension, and premium Brembo brakes provide a step up in agility and capability. It ensures excellent handling in all riding conditions. With a new, larger 20-litre fuel tank and an adjustable screen that can be adjusted with one hand, the new Tiger 900 range offers long-distance travel with improved wind protection.
The new models also feature improved ergonomics designed to maximize rider comfort for touring, off-roading, and all other activities. The handlebars are positioned 10mm closer, and the seat width is narrower, providing a more comfortable upright riding position and greater rider control in both stationary and motion. Each model features an integrated, easily adjustable two-position seat height mechanism and a custom and specific footrest position to accommodate typical riding styles. It allows the rider to fully adjust the seat height to their desired setting by up to 20mm.
New Class-Leading 7″ TFT Instruments
New 7″ TFT instruments (GT and GT Pro, Rally and Rally Pro only) that set the class – new large TFT instruments featuring Tiger Start-up badges display rider information in four formats. These features are enabled by the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which was developed in collaboration with Continental.
It helps the system automatically determine the appropriate amount of traction control intervention and ABS by continuously monitoring yaw, roll, pitch, and acceleration rates to determine the lean angle. This fully integrated technical system guarantees further ride stability.
Aggressive Tiger Style with More Dominant Adventure-Focused Stance
The new 2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Adventure Bike takes on an even more aggressive and commanding adventure stance thanks to its updated finish, redesigned compact bodywork, and clean lines. A visually lighter front end, reduced standover width, and fuel tank size and shape all support this.
Accessible and Adaptable
The new 2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Adventure Bike’s mid- and high-spec models are even more accessible to more riders thanks to a dealer-fit A2 license compliance kit that includes an engine tune and a dedicated APS twist grip. The dealer can immediately restore full power after the rider gets his full license.
A particular low-ride height version of the Tiger 900 GT has also been offered. Thanks to a modified suspension setup and lower seat, it’s 50mm shorter than the regular GT model. Additionally, this version has a 20 mm seat height adjustment, bringing the seat height to 760-780 mm.
