Millions of classic and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts come together annually for the prestigious Gentlemen’s Ride (DGR), which raises fund and awareness for men’s health. DGR was founded in 2012 by Mark Howa in Sydney, Australia, to unite motorcycle enthusiasts for a positive common cause. With more than 90,000 riders participating in more than 800 cities and DGR expanding annually, more than USD 37 million has been raised for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.
Triumph joined the DGR as an official motorcycle partner in 2014, committing to raising funds, promoting greater participation, and creating awareness for this worthy cause. Along with Mark Hawwa and his staff, everyone at Triumph is excited to play a prominent role in the growth of this fantastic community. The DGR is the world’s largest on-road charity motorcycle event because of the passion and adventure of its supporters, from contributing financial support and resources to rewarding its participants and helping to increase the event’s global exposure.
Triumph’s ability to reward top fundraisers with motorcycles from its modern classic range has contributed significantly to raising awareness and inspiring fundraisers worldwide. It includes exclusive bikes from the past, such as a one-of-a-kind and highly famous Triumph Thruxton RS DGR Edition and an all-new custom “1959 Legends” Triumph Bonneville T120 with a matching Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar, which will go to the rider who raises the most money. Is given in 2022 as part of a partnership between Gibson and Triumph.
The year 2023 is the tenth year of this fantastic collaboration, a significant achievement for both Triumph and DGR. To commemorate this historic milestone, Triumph has produced 250 unique new Bonneville T120 Black Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Limited Edition motorcycles, helping to make the 2023 Triumph Thruxton RS DGR event the biggest and most successful ever.
The bike is designed with a chic DGR metallic black and white paint scheme, official DGR branding with custom logos on the tank and side panels, gold detailing, and a unique brown seat. Each is numbered and comes with a certificate signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor and DGR founder Mark Howa. Edition 001 is awarded to the rider who raises the most money for the ride in 2023.
Also, as we celebrate our tenth year together, we are excited to deepen our partnership by joining DGR as an official apparel partner. We’ve designed an all-new, limited-edition lifestyle clothing line to honor DGR and help raise even more money for men’s health.
The entire Triumph community, from our staff, designers, and engineers to our global network of dealers and enthusiasts, is dedicated to expanding DGR’s influence and supporting this amazing cause.
2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black DGR Café Racer – Features and Specs
The Bonneville T120 Black Timeless, Capable, Beautiful
With significant updates for 2021, the iconic British motorcycle icon raises the bar for classic style and easy rideability with its torque-rich 1200cc twin performance, smart setup, and elegant Bonneville DNA.
The Bonneville legend continues with the handling setup, a significant weight reduction of 7 kg compared to the previous generation, new lightweight aluminum wheel rims, high-spec Brembo brakes, and new rider technology, such as cruise control, for a better ride. It is possible because of the modes and the even more responsive throttle.
Engine and Performance
Triumph’s famous 1200cc, high-torque British twin, enhanced for an even more excellent riding experience, powers the 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black DGR Café Racer. A lighter crankshaft has allowed the engine mass of the latest version of the T120 to be significantly reduced. It has also reduced inertia, which, combined with an optimized clutch and balance shaft, gives the new generation significantly quicker and more responsive throttle. The T120 is precisely calibrated to deliver strong low- to mid-range torque, delivering thrilling performance throughout. The 1200 Twin engine produces a peak torque of 105 Nm at a very low 3500 rpm, and a peak power of 80 PS is produced at 6,550 rpm. Equipped with a delicately designed liquid cooling mechanism.
Handling
The 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black DGR Café Racer’s signature confidence-inspiring ride has been improved thanks to a 7kg weight reduction over the previous model. With its 18″ X 2.75″ front and 17″ X 4.25″ rear aluminum wheel rims, the new T120 has significantly lower weight and inertia, enhancing its agility and maneuverability while riding and stationary.
High-end Brembo front brakes with dual-disc setup and two-piston sliding calipers provide excellent stopping power and feel to the braking system. Triumph’s latest-generation ABS and switchable traction control also enhance safety and control.
The latest 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black DGR Café Racer is the lightest yet, thanks to its improved brake setup, new wheels, and reduced weight.
Rider Technology
The 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black DGR Café Racer has advanced technology, including advanced riding modes and standard cruise control.
Cruise control and riding mode selection are incredibly user-friendly for the rider, as they are adjusted via a dedicated button on the handlebar. The bike’s behavior can be adjusted according to riding conditions by choosing between rain and road riding modes.
Additional high-end rider-focused technology that comes standard is a torque-assist clutch that reduces rider fatigue in congested areas or on long rides. It also has an engine immobilizer built into the key, a convenient USB charging port under the seat, and internal wiring ready to plug in heated grip accessories.
When market regulations allow, the headlight features a unique LED daytime running light that increases the bike’s visibility to other drivers.
Style
The distinctive Bonneville silhouette is complemented by details that combine Triumph’s latest high-end features with the iconic T120 styling.
The twin clock setup features a premium 3D dial face with traditional typefaces and colors with the Bonneville trademark. The multi-purpose digital display provides the rider with all the information they need.
Information, including riding mode settings, cruise control status, gear position indicators, and more, can all be accessed and managed using a convenient, handlebar-mounted scroll button.
The 3-bar heritage chromed metal emblem on the contoured bony healthy tank with knee protectors adds a unique style element to the already recognizable T120 design.
The dirty and gloomy 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black DGR Café Racer features many high-end blacked-out stylistic elements and components, such as wheel rims, grab rails, engine cover, mirrors, headlamp bezels, indicators, and exhaust.
Riders can customize their motorcycles with over 100 authentic Triumph accessories for the T120 series.
