Kawasaki has a long history of producing renowned 900cc-class machines with performance that exceeds that of many full-liter-class bikes. The 2023 Kawasaki Z900 SE Sports Motorcycle maintains this tradition with its smooth powerband that becomes more thrilling as the rpm increases, its unique Sugomi-inspired appearance, and its light and agile chassis. The brand-new 2023 Kawasaki Z900 SE Sports Motorcycle was added to Kawasaki’s Z lineup of motorbikes last year.
The 2023 Kawasaki Z900 SE Sports Motorcycle borrows many excellent features from its Z900 sibling models. Still, it also comes with a few extras, including a Brembo® front brake package, an Öhlins S46 rear shock with a remote preload adjustment, and a large-diameter inverted fork with compression damping adjustability. This super naked motorcycle stands out from the crowd because of its classic eye-catching appearance, enhanced handling, performance, and excitement brought about by these premium improvements, which were built to wow you—greetings and salutations to the newest member of the Z family.

2023 Kawasaki Z900 SE Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Engine
Like 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS, the 948cc engine packs a punch in the midrange and pulls hard to redline, making for an exciting ride despite the engine’s linear power delivery, which is simple to regulate and helps riders feel confident. Efficient 4-valve DOHC cylinders in a responsive liquid-cooled engine give a silky-smooth performance. The engine’s quick-revving nature is enhanced by its lightweight crankshaft design. Although a secondary engine balancer eliminates some unwanted vibration, it is kept in to improve the bike’s character and acceleration sensation, which is highly desired.
The open deck design of the die-cast cylinder block aids in weight savings while maintaining its rigidity. Connecting passages between the cylinders releases pressure, reducing pumping loss and boosting high-rpm performance. The distinctive casting procedure utilized to create the Ninja H2/H2R pistons is also used here. The technique involves creating hollow sections to reach the idealized thickness for decreased weight without compromising strength.
Downdraft intakes direct the fuel mixture into the combustion chamber as directly and efficiently as possible to maximize performance. The 29 mm intake and 24 mm exhaust valves enhance the mid-range to high-rpm power experience and match the port designs.
Digital Fuel Injection
For the best mid-range responsiveness, 36mm throttle bodies are used. In order to provide a sensitive and smooth throttle response in an EFI system, the electronic control unit (ECU) regulates the sub-throttle valves, which are situated behind the main throttle valves.
Enhanced Intake Note
Acoustic testing informed the design of the air box, shaping an exciting sound that changes with engine speed to enhance the riding experience, particularly at high rpm. The intake sound is more audible since the air entrance is facing upwards.
A separating wall in the middle of the top part enhances the airbox’s high, clear intake note. Intake funnels address performance and noise. The inner pair, measuring 150 mm in length, improves low-to-midrange performance, while the outside pair, measuring 50 mm in length, boosts intake sound like in 2022 Kawasaki Z900 SE.
Exhaust System
The 35 mm exhaust headers have been fine-tuned to reduce exhaust noise at idle while increasing performance at higher RPMs. Headers 1-4 and 2-3 work together via joint pipes to increase torque in the middle RPM range.
Superior Suspension
A rear shock from Öhlins S46 enhances the bike’s handling and grip, while a large-diameter, gold-colored inverted fork offers more adjustability and a more comfortable ride. Adjusting the settings for tandem riding or baggage is a breeze with the rear suspension’s remote preload adjustment, which doesn’t need any equipment.
Brembo Brakes
The Brembo front brake kit provides enhanced stopping power, pinpoint control and user-friendliness. To provide additional stopping force and a more linear progression while using the brake lever, the Ø300 mm Brembo front discs and M4.32 radial-mount monobloc calipers are enhanced with a Nissin radial-pump master cylinder with stainless-steel braided lines.
Latest Evolution of Z Sugomi Styling
There have been a lot of upgrades to the Z900 that make its aggressive form even sharper. Still, the trademark sugomi design elements—its crouching posture, low-positioned head, and upswept tail—remain intact.
KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control)
Kawasaki’s sophisticated traction control technology improves sport riding performance and assures confident traversal of low-traction conditions. Three modes cater to different riding situations and rider preferences, each offering increasingly higher degrees of intrusion.
Power Mode Selection
Riders may adjust the power delivery to their liking and the circumstances by choosing between Full Power and Low Power settings. In Low Power mode, the maximum output is around 55% of Full Power. (The diminished power, which changes with engine revolutions per minute (rpm) and throttle position, makes it easier to control.)
TFT Colour Instrumentation
The cockpit looks modern and high-tech with new all-digital TFT color gauges. In addition to these improvements over its predecessor, the new meter has several new functions.
All-LED Lighting
The 2023 Kawasaki Z900 SE Sports Motorcycle’s sharper new style is complemented by new LED headlights, position lighting, license plate lamp, and turn signals…
New Tyres
The new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires influence the handling of the 2023 Kawasaki Z900 SE Sports Motorcycle.
Smartphone Connectivity
Riders may wirelessly connect to their motorcycles using Bluetooth technology incorporated into the instrument panel. Many instrument features may be accessible with the “RIDEOLOGY THE APP” app, which enhances the riding experience.
Integrated Riding Modes
Cover everything. Connecting KTRC and Power Mode makes it easy for riders to adjust traction control and power delivery according to riding conditions. The rider can choose a manual setting (Rider) or one of three predefined modes (Sport, Road, Rain). When riding manually, you may adjust each system separately.
