PGM-FI Engine
For the precise, controlled application of power required for trial riding, Honda designed the Montesa Cota 4RT 260R with fuel injection. The 259cc four-stroke engine is very versatile, with lots of energy and torque throughout a wide rpm range and fine-tuned for low-rpm responsiveness. The engine’s robust power curve is mainly due to the high-pressure fuel pump.
Kickstart Lever
The Cota 4RT 260R’s large starter lever makes it simple to start the bike with only one foot.
Chassis
The aluminum chassis of the Montesa Cota 4RT 260R has a beautiful polish, and its timeless design and high-quality construction are on full display. To reduce the likelihood of collisions and give the rider more room to maneuver, the rear brake pedal has been made shorter.

Dual-Map ECU
Does your track have slick spots followed by more stable footing? The 4RT 260R’s mode switch, conveniently located on the handlebars, allows you to choose between two different maps/modes, each of which modifies the way the engine delivers its power.
Top-flight protection
The front lower frame rails and engine bottom are given further protection by the bash plate’s unique design. The lightweight aluminum employed in its construction is the same as that used in the Montesa machine that won the World Championship.
Higher performance
The silencer on the Montesa 260R is now the same as the one on the Cota 4RT 301RR. The redesigned exhaust improves both mid-range and top-end performance.
Front and rear SHOWA suspension
The 310mm ground clearance is complemented with a premium SHOWA front fork with a 39mm diameter and 158mm stroke. The SHOWA shock absorber in the back is controlled by Pro-Link as well. Compression damping and spring preload may be adjusted independently for the front and rear suspension.
New aluminum side stand
The Cota 301RR’s lightweight, forged aluminum side stand with a triangular shape was passed down. It is installed near the engine and tucked away safely beneath the swingarm.
