Inspired by a Serial 1 engineer’s build, the BASH/MTN takes the back-to-basic simplicity of the super-popular MOSH/CTY. It adapts for off-road fun with gripping, high-volume Michelin E-Wild knobby tires and a spine-saving, shock-absorbing SR Suntour NCX suspension seat post. Everything you love about the MOSH/CTY is still there, like the sharp handling and immediate feedback that can only come from a rigid frame and the instant acceleration from a single-speed drivetrain. All of this is done in the clean, uncluttered style you’ve come to expect from Serial 1.

Under the Yucca Tan paint and special Gloss Graffiti graphics, the BASH/MTN has all the same features and functions as the standard MOSH/CTY model. It includes the maintenance-free Gates Carbon Drive belt, a mid-mounted Brose S Mag motor with 90Nm of knee-saving torque, smooth-stopping TRP four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, internally routed cables and wires, and built-in lighting. Plus, like all 2023 Serial 1 eBikes, the BASH/MTN has a full set of cloud-enabled communication features through the Serial 1 App, which was made in partnership with Google Cloud to collect important ride data, improve security and safety, and make it easier than ever just to enjoy the ride.

BASH/MTN is the second bike in Serial 1’s Select Series. These are limited-edition, special-production versions of the company’s regular eBikes that have been upgraded with luxury finishing, extra technology, exclusive components, and unmatched attention to detail. The first thing in the Select Series was the white-tired MOSH/TRIBUTE, which sold out quickly. Only 1050 BASH/MTN models will be made, with 525 going to the US and 525 to Europe.

Aluminum Frame:

The frame and fork are made of welded and hydroformed aluminum, which is light and strong.

Intelligent Sizing:

The design of the frame is optimized for each frame size so that all sizes, no matter how tall the person, have a relaxed riding position and handle the same way. Both the shape of the frame and the places where the user touches it have been carefully looked at to make sure that our size range works well for almost every customer.

Integrated Battery:

The 529Wh lithium-ion battery is small and very durable. It is built into the frame, which gives it a sleek look and a lower center of gravity than other eBikes. It’s easy to take off so you can charge it away from the bike, but you can also set it on the bike through a charging port on the lower left side of the frame. The motor in the middle: The mid-mounted Brose S Mag motor has 90Nm/66 ft-lb of torque, which is plenty of power to help the rider get going quickly from a stop and get over even the most difficult terrain. Placement near the crank lowers the center of gravity and moves the mass closer to the vehicle’s center to make it easier to control. An electronic torque monitor detects how hard the user pushes on the pedals and quickly gives the right amount of electric help. You don’t have to turn the gas or do anything else—just pedal and go.

Walk Assist:

A “walk-assist” button on the handlebar controls gives a small amount of forward motion to make the eBike easy to control at walking speeds or if you need to push it up a hill.

Belt Drive:

The Gates Carbon Drive belt is quiet, smooth, and doesn’t need to be taken care of. It doesn’t need to be oiled or adjusted as often as a chain-drive system. It doesn’t get dirty or greasy.

Suspension Seatpost:

The SR Suntour NCX suspension Seatpost uses a trapezoid design protected by a patent to smooth out small bumps and make riding more comfortable in all situations. Built to last with stainless-steel joints and a full 50mm of travel, the internal coil spring’s setting can be changed so any user can get the right support.

Handlebar Controls:

Ergonomically placed thumb-and-forefinger controls let the rider turn the eBike on and off, change ride modes, turn the integrated headlight on and off, and turn on the walk-assist without taking a hand off the handlebar.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes:

Four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203mm brake rotors are made for eBikes and give sure stopping power. It is important for faster-moving eBikes and riding in all kinds of weather.

Internal Routing:

Brake lines and electricity cables are run through the frame, which protects them from the weather and makes them last longer, and requires less upkeep.

Integrated Lighting:

A bright LED headlamp attached to the handlebar stem lights up the road ahead and makes the rider more visible at night. Brilliant LED stop and tail lights are built into the frame dropouts to make the bike easier to see from behind. When the eBike is turned on, a unique LED front logo lights up.
