2023 GSX-S750Z Suzuki Street Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Key Features
Thanks to the GSX-R architecture, the 749cc, four-cylinder, fuel-injected engine delivers a torque-rich sportbike experience. The rider can adjust the sensitivity of Suzuki Advanced Traction Control (SATC) according to road conditions better than 2022 GSX-S750Z Suzuki. The innovative chassis combines the best features of a twin-spar sportbike frame and a tubular girder street bike frame, with KYB suspension for excellent handling.
Twin wave-style brake rotors gripped by radially mounted Nissen four-piston brake calipers up front provide robust and reliable braking. The Street Fighter’s bodywork is Eye-catching, with Champion Yellow No. 2 and Pearl Brilliant White bodywork with contrasting graphics. The wide, cast aluminum handlebar and strategically placed seat and footpegs create an ergonomically comfortable yet athletic riding position.
Engine Features
The square GSX-R750 design powers a powerful 749cc fuel-injected four-cylinder engine with a low-end and top-end. The smaller chassis made possible by the larger-bore engine layout also improves handling significantly.
Additionally, it makes the 2023 GSX-S750Z Suzuki Street Motorcycle the only bike in its class to have the engine carried over from the SuperSport model. The GSX-S750Z crankcase includes ventilation holes at the bottom of each cylinder. The holes reduce pumping losses to help improve power generation and fuel efficiency. The GSX-S750Z has specially adjusted camshafts to produce a robust, smooth acceleration wave.
While maintaining excellent performance, throttle bodies equipped with the Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) system improve overall torque and throttle response in the low-to-mid rpm range. Fuel is delivered finely atomized through a ten-hole, long-nose fuel injector—injectors, which will enhance combustion efficiency. Suzuki’s unique Throttle Body Integrated Idle Speed Control (TI-ISC) technology helps reduce emissions by stabilizing the engine’s idle speed.
It is small and light. Suzuki’s Low RPM Assist technology, used on the GSX-S750Z, smoothly changes engine speed during take-off and low-speed riding to enhance power delivery and reduce the chance that the rider may stop the bike. Increasing engine output, a larger capacity airbox is fitted. Air is used to create a sensational sound experience.
The Engine Control Module (ECM) provides advanced engine management and carefully calibrated settings to match the intake and exhaust systems. It also produces class-leading fuel economy and linear throttle response.
Thanks to Suzuki’s Advanced Traction Handle System, the GSX-S750Z rider can handle the throttle with greater confidence in various riding conditions. As a result, the rider can now enjoy a sportier ride more comfortably. The joystick on the handlebar allows the rider to easily select from four traction control modes: 1, 2, 3, and off, whether at rest or while riding. Methods differ in how sensitive they are to road conditions.
The least sensitive setting, Mode 1, is best suited for experienced riders or conditions with good road surface grip (sporty riding on good, smooth roads). Most riders can use Mode 2, which has a moderate sensitivity level when riding in urban areas or on normal roads with variable road surface grip.
The highest level of sensitivity, mode 3, is suitable for road conditions (cold or wet surfaces) when grip may be limited. Selecting Off turns off all traction control functions. Iridium-type spark plugs burn with digital ignition, improving combustion efficiency and strength. This results in increased power, more linear throttle response, more accessible engine starting, and a more stable idle. Additionally, these high-quality parts last longer than standard spark plugs.
The engine is backed by a stainless steel, 4-2-1 exhaust system that delivers a powerful low-to-mid-range punch and a spirited dash to the redline. The mid-pipe has a significant catalyst to help control emissions without compromising functionality. A polished stainless steel shield accentuates the black exhaust silencer. Cooling air is efficiently directed to the high-capacity radiator through angled radiator shrouds. A small, lightweight liquid-cooled oil cooler (as found on the GSX-R600 and 750 models) is an additional means of removing heat from the engine.
Transmission Features
A vertically staggered shaft over a race-tested, GSX-R-style six-speed close-ratio transmission reduces overall engine length. To help the 2023 GSX-S750Z Suzuki Street Motorcycle accelerate, the final gear ratio is lower than its GSX-S750 predecessor. The current generation GSX-S750Z has a higher peak power to maintain the same high-speed capability. The GSX-R750 design inspired a large-diameter, wet multi-plate clutch, facilitating smooth power delivery.
The rack and pinion clutch release gives the rider an exceptional frictional feel. The clever shift linkage makes it easy and quick for the rider to select the appropriate gear for the riding conditions. O-rings maintain internal lubrication through the reinforced drive chain, allowing power to be transmitted quietly and smoothly.
Chassis Features
The bodywork of the GSX-S750Z has an aggressive twist and is inspired by the GSX-S1000, giving it a wild and powerful look while maintaining ride comfort. The headlight nacelle creates a visual focal point, and the chassis style is aligned with the engine and exhaust system through the undercowl. The frame design combines the best features of a twin-spar sport bike frame and a compact tubular-style street bike frame for a dynamic ride.
A balanced arrangement of handlebars, footrests, and seats results in a proper sport riding position. Large-diameter tapered, matte black aluminum handlebars enhance styling and give the rider ample control leverage while reducing vibration. A low seat height of 820mm (32.2 inches) enhances a dynamic, upright riding position, which also boosts rider confidence at stops.
Twin 310mm wave-style brake rotors are squeezed by radial-mounted, four-piston Nissen braking calipers, while a single-piston rear caliper helps provide controlled stops at the rear. The black outer tubes of the inverted KYB fork allow spring preload adjustment, and the axle holder offers a solid base for the Nissan radial-mounted brake calipers. Precision chain adjusters that enhance power and style are located at the end of the trapezoidal, beam-type swingarm.
A single shock absorber connected to a progressive linkage powers the single-link type rear suspension system with a seven-position spring preload adjustment system. The 10-spoke cast aluminum wheels from TPR, specially designed for the GSX-S750 models, are fitted with Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21 radial tires, which provide better stability and grip.
Electrical Features
Press the starting button to start the engine (if the transmission is neutral, you can do this without using the clutch lever). The distinctive headlight nacelle is equipped with 60/55 watt H4 halogen bulbs, which are pretty bright. An integrated red/clear lens LED tail light is placed in the tail section.
Like the SV650, this lightweight and compact instrument panel features an LCD for the clock, traction control alert icon, average fuel consumption, driving range, coolant temperature, speedometer, tachometer, and odometer, plus dual trip meters and Gear position. The display’s switchable white backlight provides excellent visibility at night. LED indicators for turn signals, high beam, fault, traction control, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are placed on either side of the display.
