The latest iteration of the 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle further emphasizes the visual connection between itself and the Panigale V4. The fairings have been reworked to emphasize the bike’s sportiness and the fluidity of its lines, while the full-LED headlamp with DRL instantly evokes the light solid signature of the Panigale V4. The road-ready Ducati sports bike, formerly the 959, has been rebranded as the SuperSport 950, with an updated look, modernized electronics, and an expanded set of amenities.
The redesigned full-LED headlight with integrated daytime running lights (DRL), as well as the updated fairings developed by the Ducati Style Centre, has given the 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle a more modern and aggressive appearance.
To better reflect its newfound compliance with Euro 5 anti-pollution rules (in areas where the legislation applies), the Ducati Road sports bike has been rebranded as the 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle. It has updated looks, technological technology, and a wealth of standard features.
2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Ergonomics
Primary consideration has been given to ergonomics, aerodynamic protection, and rider freedom of movement to combine comfort and adaptability while simultaneously providing lively riding. The rider area of the one-piece seat is 810 mm from the ground (or 790 mm with the low seat attachment mounted), giving you plenty of room to stretch out your legs and put your feet flat on the pavement.

The footrests are placed so as not to strain the knees while guaranteeing optimal control, and the handlebars are set at an ideal height that allows for a sporty riding stance without stressing the wrists.
The 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle provides the required protection from the air at highway speeds, and it is adjustable in height in two places with a range of 50 mm. Additional safety may be achieved by installing the bigger smoked Plexiglas sold as an add-on. Separate footrests for the rider and passenger and a small side exhaust silencer allow unrestricted leg mobility when seated.
This posture is ideal for cruising and journeys of a moderate length, and it ensures a thrilling ride once the speed increases.
The updated cushioning on the seat provides more support and comfort while driving. The redesigned and improved heat guards, which protect the new exhaust manifolds and the fresh air vents for the rider’s legs from the fairings, also contribute to increased rider comfort.
The passenger section of the seat is well-cushioned and separated from the footrests. The Ducati Performance accessories catalog includes a padded seat (+25 mm) for the rider and passenger, making it suitable for longer trips, and external passenger handles, which provide a more ergonomic grip than the ordinary ones integrated into the under-seat storage compartment.
Testa Stretta 11° Engine
The 937 cc Ducati Testa Stretta 11° twin-cylinder unit that propels the 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle is the ideal engine for a road sports bike due to its power output and responsiveness to throttle input.
Like its siblings 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 S, the 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle’s Testa Stretta 11° unit has been updated to meet Euro 5 homologation standards (in areas where these requirements are in effect). The modifications to the exhaust and engine control systems did not alter the vehicle’s personality or its highest power and torque figures, which remain unchanged at 110 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 93 Nm at 6,500 rpm, respectively.
Engine airflow is controlled by complete Ride-by-Wire throttle bodies measuring 53 mm in diameter. It features a compression ratio of 12.6:1, a bore measuring 94mm and a stroke length of 67.5mm, a secondary air system, liquid cooling, and four valves per cylinder.

The exhaust system is a 2-1-2 configuration with a lower pre-silencer coupled to a side silencer with two exceptionally tiny superimposed outputs, and the ducts have an exterior diameter of 54 mm.
Two Abramovic® titanium systems are offered as optional extras, one of which is an authorized exhaust with a carbon fiber heat shield, while the other is a race exhaust that cuts weight by -4.6 kilograms and boosts mid-range power by +5%.
The sophisticated Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up / down EVO is standard on the SuperSport 950 series because of the six-speed gearbox with a dedicated gear sensor. The clutch is handled by a novel hydraulic control system that uses a self-bleeding radial pump and an adjustable lever to regulate the clutch’s engagement and disengagement.
Maintaining control of the vehicle during the rapid downshifts characteristic of sporty riding is made possible by the anti-hopping feature, which kicks in when the torque at the wheel has the opposite effect and relieves pressure on the discs.
Checking the valve clearance once every 30,000 km is recommended for the Ducati twin. The recommended service frequency is 15,000 kilometers or 12 months.
Chassis
The engine is a supporting member of the chassis of the SuperSport 950 thanks to its trellis design. The vertical cylinder is attached to the central steel trellis, and the rear seat post subframe is attached to the cylinder heads. This setup permits a small, light frame with incredible torsional stiffness, which is ideal for improving the 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle’s impressive dynamic capabilities.
The kern weight of 210 kg is 1 kg less than the original SuperSport due to the arrangement of the frame with a supporting engine. Both the rear turn signals and the injection-molded front subframe have been updated.
The 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle’s 1,478-millimeter wheelbase, 24-degree head angle, and 91-millimeter trail ensure the rider of optimal control and agility in turns and at high speeds. These features of the SuperSport are readily apparent at first glance thanks in no little part to the combination of handling and footprint afforded by the SuperSport’s choice of rear tire size: 180/55. A lean angle of 48 degrees backs up the chassis performance, so there are no restrictions on how much fun you can have on the road or the track.
Elegant forged aluminum handlebars are positioned above the steering head on the SuperSport’s bridge, exposing the fork adjustments. The new radial self-bleeding front brake and clutch master cylinders, each with its oil tank, contribute much to the vehicle’s stylish appearance.
Die-cast aluminum is used for the footrest mounts, which secure foot-pegs with a profile designed for optimum footing when riding. The footrests may be swapped out with rubberized versions that are more suited for usage in the city if requested. Passenger footrests are permanently attached to the rear subframe and cannot be removed, while rider footrests have aluminum heel pads. There is a toolkit and a convenient waterproof USB outlet for charging a mobile device under the seat.
Suspension
The 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle is a real Ducati sports bike, with qualities of excellent stiffness and a low weight thanks to its adjustable suspension and single-sided swingarm in gravity-cast aluminum.
A Marzocchi fork with a diameter of 43 mm and fully adjustable hydraulics and preload is mounted up front. The Sachs shock absorber in the back may be adjusted for spring preload and has a hydraulic brake that works in extension. It is mounted to the vertical cylinder on one side and the single arm on the other.
The 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle has a sophisticated Ohlins suspension with many settings. There is a fully adjustable Ohlins monoshock with a built-in gas tank in the back and a fork up front with 48 mm stanchions treated with TiN for optimal smoothness.
Both variants support the addition of an Ohlins steering damper to their chassis’ existing hardware.
Tires and Rims
The 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle rides on stylish “Y”-styled three-spoke alloy wheels, measuring 3.50 inches across the front and 5.50 inches across the rear. The front tires are a 120/70 ZR 17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso® III, while the rear tires are 180/55 ZR 17. Regarding road performance, the Pirelli Diablo Rosso® III is unrivaled.
The Pirelli Diablo Rosso® III can provide outstanding handling, absolute grip, and ultimate performance in the wet thanks to its profiles, latest-generation materials, innovative structure, bi-compound configuration, and “flash” tread pattern, all of which are directly borrowed from the Diablo® Supercross.
Brembo Brakes
The 2023 Ducati SuperSport 950 Sports Motorcycle’s Brembo braking system is characteristic of sports cars in both its technical depth and its aesthetic effect. In the front, a Brembo self-bleeding radial pump with a separate tank and an adjustable lever power a pair of Brembo M4-32 monobloc radial calipers that clamp down on a couple of discs measuring 320 millimeters in diameter. The SuperSport 950 has a rear disc brake with a 245 mm diameter and a two-piston caliper. Bosch’s Cornering ABS technology controls the brakes and allows for adjustable intervention.
The Brembo system provides strong stopping power and good linearity between applied force and brake reaction. It equates to speed, modularity, and predictability, all while providing a great sensation at the lever and never putting the rider in a challenging situation.
