The Streetfighter V4, first shown to the public in 2020, became an immediate hit and revolutionized the performance standards for super sports naked motorcycles. The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle won over fans instantly with its fierce and straightforward design, highlighted by a front reminiscent of the Joker from comic books. A bike that takes the ideas of the “Fight Formula” even further is the logical next step in the family line.
Its core components are the fairing-less Panigale V4, a high and wide handlebar, a weight of 178 kilograms, a 208 Hp Desmosedici Stradale engine, biplane wings, and a state-of-the-art electronic package. An upgrade similar to the Panigale V4 series. The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle has an air of sportiness with its traditional one-seater layout, complete with a saddle and footrests for the passenger.
The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle has a full-LED headlight and a daytime running light (DRL) as a V reminiscent of the Panigale V4. The bike has a menacing appearance thanks to its low, forward-canted front, which carries on the powerful lines of the tank.
The fuel tank’s contours are identical to those of the Panigale V4 2022, which aid the rider in braking and turning. It holds 17 liters more than before and has redesigned side panels.
Minimal bodywork that, via streamlined lines and sculptural forms, creates a clean, essential ensemble that characterizes both the new “Front Frame” and the Desmosedici Stradale. A new “Grey Nero” livery is available for the V4 S model of the Streetfighter 2023. This scheme draws attention to the bike’s technical components, like the brakes and suspension by contrasting them with the grey and the various black tones of the bodywork.
2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Push forward
The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle was an immediate hit, and its performance standards quickly became the gold standard in the super sports naked category. The Streetfighter V4 won over fans instantly with its fierce and straightforward design, highlighted by a front reminiscent of the Joker from comic books.
The next logical step in the family’s development is a motorcycle that takes the ideas of the “Fight Formula” to an even higher level, with characteristics such as a 392 lb. weight, 208 Hp Desmosedici Stradale engine, biplane wings, and the latest generation electronic package.
Electronics
The new 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle incorporates the Power Modes logic found on the Ducati Panigale V4 and Ducati Panigale V4 S, with specific calibrations for the Streetfighter’s Desmosedici Stradale engine. Full, High, Medium and Low are the four possible levels of engine delivery. The High and Medium tactics have been adjusted while the Full and Low ones are brand-new creations. Except for the first gear, the electronic filters are removed in Full Power Mode, allowing the engine’s full torque curve potential to be expressed.
To guarantee that the rider always receives the optimal thrust whenever the throttle is opened, a new Ride by Wire map management system has been designed for the High and Medium Power Modes, with specialized calibration for each of the six gears.
While the High Power Mode is optimized for high-grip surfaces, the Low Power Mode is tailored to low-grip riding conditions by reducing the bike’s maximum power to 165 horsepower and providing a more controlled throttle response. The Streetfighter V4’s specific calibrations offer the highest possible agreement between the rider’s input and the bike’s output torque.
Wet Riding Mode, added to the Streetfighter V4 in 2023, is designed to increase rider safety in slippery conditions. The typical features of the S model are enhanced by the addition of a lithium -ion battery (which is 1.7 kg lighter than the previous model and is included in the V4 SP model).
The new 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle’s dashboard, like the rest of the car, evolved in response to feedback from the Panigale V4. The images have been updated across all perspectives to simplify the data, provide more detail, and aid in the calibration of the different parameters.
Similar to the Panigale V4, the shift is signaled by a green LED light on the outside of the bike. The dashboard’s “Track Evo” display mode is based on the MotoGP Desmosedici’s layout. It looks at the data that matters most and the ability to interact with the electronics without delay.
The new Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 software improves the Streetfighter V4 2023 by allowing the rider to create a more exact electronic configuration for each usage, as well as providing more stability, accuracy, and directional control during braking and turn entrance. Each of the three available settings in this program adjusts the gear ratios individually. The new method maximizes engine braking effectiveness depending on back-end weight.
The EBC EVO 2 applies less engine brake early in the braking period when there is minimal weight on the rear tire and more as you get closer to the center of the curve when the intervention of the engine brake makes the most considerable contribution to slowing down the bike and closing the line. This adjustment prevents the rear wheel from locking up during the most challenging braking portions by ensuring a more consistent involvement of the control on the engine brake regardless of the terrain.
Chassis and Ergonomics
The new 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle’s chassis has been updated to reflect the latest developments in the Panigale V4 family, bringing enhanced stability, front-end feel, and rider safety. The aluminum front frame and swing arm have an upside-down front fork and a mechanically adjustable rear shock absorber in the base V4 model.
With its semi-active Ohlins suspension (NIX30 upside-down 43 mm fork and TTX36 shock absorber) and SmartEC 2.0 interface, the Streetfighter V4 S improves upon its predecessor regarding adjustability, performance, and ease of setup. In addition, the V4 S model’s wheels are Marchesini forgings made of aluminum alloy, which reduces unsprung masses and improves the car’s responsiveness in acceleration and braking.
The pivot point of the swing arm on the Streetfighter V4 2023 is raised by 4 mm, just like on the Panigale V4, which aids the rider by increasing stability, precision, and trajectory maintenance when accelerating out of corners.
By shifting the vehicle’s center of gravity forward, the bike may enter corners with more precision and velocity. Finally, the redesigned fuel tank improves ergonomics by giving the rider more stability during braking and turning. The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle weighs 197.5 kg when fully loaded with water.
Engine
To compensate for the greater diameter of the silencer outlet installed to lower exhaust back pressure, the calibration of the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale, which produces 208 horsepower at 13,000 rpm and 123 Nm in Euro-5 configuration, has been changed. On the right side of the Panigale V4 is the clutch cover, making it simple to install both the dry clutch and the clutch cover guard.
Accessories
Like its sibling 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4, the 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle may be sportier by installing several accessories, such as the Ducati Performance by Akrapovi full -racing exhaust. High silencers on the tail’s sides allow for a 5-kilogram weight cut and an increase in peak power to 220 horsepower. The decibel ambient noise level is less than 105 (or 102 with the dB killer attached).
For those planning to race their Streetfighter V4, the available additions include street-legal slip-on systems, mudguards, aero kits, carbon fiber frame and crankcase protectors, billet aluminum controls, and tire warmers and supports.
Ergonomics
The rider’s position on the seat has been reimagined following the requirements of a naked model, making it 845 mm higher than on the Panigale V4. A tall and wide handlebar, as is customary in 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Sports Motorcycle culture, takes the place of clip-ons to provide the sporty comfort needed for riding in urban areas while still providing the control required to attack extra-urban roads or the track. Regarding rider comfort, the Streetfighter V4 2023 takes cues from the Panigale V4 family, combining a tank with a new design that provides more stability under braking and in turns.
The tail has been revised to provide additional comfort for the passenger and more longitudinal room for the rider while retaining the classic Panigale aesthetic.
