The new 2022 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster Gold Line Heritage Bike elevates an already-classic symbol to further refinement and flair. The stunning Silver Ice fuel tank is enhanced by the hand-painted gold lining that edges every design piece and is finished with the graceful “gold line” emblem. It also has a Sapphire Black twin stripe design and brushed foil knee pad graphics. The side panels, which now have extra hand-painted gold lining and a distinctive new gold and silver Bonneville Speedmaster badge, carry the Sapphire Black throughout. Also completed in Sapphire Black are the headlamp bowl and mudguards, with a matching accessory fit short front mudguard being an option.
The 47mm Showa cartridge forks, pre-load adjustable concealed monoshock RSU, and dual Brembo front calipers of the Speedmaster Gold Line Edition, like those of the other Gold Line Editions, provide the smooth, controlled and luxurious ride that consumers have come to expect from the Speedmaster. The front foot controls swept-back beach bars, and the low 27.5-inch seat height providing a relaxed, comfortable cruiser style.
The 1200cc High Torque Bonneville twin engine that powers the new Speedmaster Gold Line Edition produces 78 LB-FT peak torque at 4,000 rpm and 77 HP at 6,100 rpm. This gorgeous version honors the famous relaxed aesthetic and powerful performance of the British bespoke classic.

These new Gold Line Editions are premium, sought-after, and limited editions, and they perfectly showcase the quality and attention to detail for which Triumph is recognized.
The Art of Gold Lining
Triumph’s paint department has mastered the hand-painted gold lining technique, which requires extreme care, years of practice, and the steadiest hands.
The linking point between the two colors in several new Gold Line Edition designs’ two-color base schemes is smoothed down. The artist uses a specialized soft-bristled sword-liner brush to gently hand-apply the gold line, generally in one continuous stroke. After the pinstripe is positioned, a final clear coat of lacquer is applied to protect it from the weather.
As regular automotive paint is too thin for brushwork, the paints used for the gold lining are created explicitly by combining a powerful color with a cellulose lacquer for precisely the appropriate viscosity.
The artist puts the final touch to each Gold Line Edition by signing their work with their initials, adding a unique touch that distinguishes each hand-painted Triumph from the others.
