You can expect to be the center of attention whenever you drive this 2022 Suzuki Boulevard C50 Cruiser. The Boulevard C50 makes a bold statement regarding traditional cruiser design with its kicked-out fork, valance-style fenders, and staggered, chromed dual exhaust system. The fuel-injected, V-twin, 50 cubic-inch motor is built for ease of use and produces much power. Its upright riding position and plush suspension make it possible to spend all day on the road, whether cruising through the city or out in the country.
2022 Suzuki Boulevard C50 Cruisers – Features and Specs
Key Features
The historic look of the Boulevard is accentuated by its Candy Daring Red or Solid Iron Gray paint and tasteful tank decals. Over dual pipes, a 45 degrees, 50-cubic-inch (805 ccs) V-twin engine at home in the city traffic or on the open road quietly delivers power.
With a delicate pull, the new clutch transmits engine power to the smoothly shifting 5-speed gearbox and, from there, to the new spotless shaft drive. The seat is just 27.6 inches from the ground, the handlebars are shaped like buckhorns, and the floorboards are mounted in front of the rider.
The massive 15-inch rear and 16-inch front tires mounted on spoke-style chrome rims look great with the classic 4.1-gallon gasoline tank that hangs out over the back of the vehicle. Brushed stainless steel covers shield the motorcycle’s strong front fork, and the hidden, link-style rear shock softens the ride to fit the motorcycle’s classic hard-tail form. Big, shiny chrome wheels with retro-style spoke tires and modern performance.
Engine Features
The tiny 805 ccs, SOHC, liquid-cooled, four-valve-per-cylinder, 45-degree V-twin engine is tuned for the fuel injection to provide exceptional low-rpm torque. The new polished aluminum and chrome covers of the sculpted engine complement the visually striking cylinders with symmetrical cooling fins. The unique V-twin growl and flawlessly synchronized spark plug sparks result from offset crankpins.
An all-new Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) electronic fuel-injection system preserves the optimum air velocity in the intake tract, enabling a smooth throttle response from low to mid rpm. The new Auto Fast Idle System (AFIS) monitors the new engine coolant temperature and opens the throttle valve accordingly during cold engine starts. The massive V-signature twin’s low-down torque is enhanced by the latest 3D-mapped digital ignition technology that features a throttle-position sensor. The new chromed and staggered dual exhaust system on the right side of the engine delivers a deep, rumbling exhaust sound.
A high fifth-gear ratio in a five-speed broad-ratio gearbox makes for relaxed freeway cruising. The enormous 15-inch rear tire receives power efficiently with minimum torque response from the smooth-running, low-maintenance shaft drive.
Chassis Features
The chassis is held by a solid double-cradle steel frame, making it best for cruising or a long ride. The current custom motorcycles take stylistic cues from the classic American cruiser, including great paint jobs, gleaming chrome, and flared fenders.
The new rear suspension is link-type, designed especially to look like the hard-tail of a vintage cruiser and connects a truss-style swing arm to a single shock absorber, including seven-way spring preload adjustment. With this setup, you get a responsive 4.1-inch of suspension travel.
With its long 65.2-inch wheelbase and kicked-out rake of 33 degrees, the vehicle provides a comfortable and stable ride. Robust telescoping front forks smooth down the wheel travel to the tune of 5.5 inches.
The broad handlebars and forward-mounted floorboards provide a comfortable ride on both city streets and long stretches of highway. Large 15-inch rear and 16-inch front tires are mounted on shiny spoked wheels for a classic cruiser look. Solid and reliable brakes are offered by both the rear drum brakes and the new front hydraulic disc brakes.
The low 27.6-inch seat height of the broad, deeply cushioned seat is excellent for unhurried travel and secure pauses. With its spacious design, traveling with a companion is a breeze. Its stepped location on the new rear fender enables passengers a broad view over the rider’s shoulder.
The instrument cluster has an intuitive gear position indication, a large fuel meter, and a timepiece. The perfect combination of a powerful multi-reflector headlight with a tiny, highly efficient LED tail light makes for a formidable lighting setup. The turn signals at the back are mounted low on the rear fender so that more room may be made for saddlebags.
