2022 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso Sports Touring Bike – Features and Specs
Design inspiration
All styling decisions are inspired by comfort: Functionality was given special attention when developing the design of the 2022 Turismo Veloce Lusso Sports Touring Bike. Wind protection, comfort and heat dissipation are achieved without compromising the distinctive design that distinguishes each MV Agusta model.
Fully equipped
Because touring is a profession, the 2022 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso Sports Touring Bike is equipped with the best standards of completeness, technology, and usability. Even with a passenger along for the ride and all the gear you’ll need for a long trip.
Evolution without compromise
Other developments are significant, starting with a new inertial platform explicitly designed for MV Agusta. Due to programming specifically for this model, traction control and ABS accuracy has been improved.
Simple technology
The new 2022 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso Sports Touring Bike features a semi-active Sachs suspension with improved adjustments to make your journey more enjoyable. We completely redesigned the primary block of the bike to lower the saddle height by a full 25mm as a result of ergonomic studies.
Safety
An example of the focus on security is the satellite-assisted anti-theft system, which is offered as a standard. Furthermore, the exquisite elegance of the Lusso outfitting serves as a benchmark for the entire category.
2022 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso Sports Touring Bike – Test Ride
Since the model name translates to “Touring Fast Luxury” and is impossible to say in Italian, let’s move on.
So, is it too early? Yes. The most significant achievement of the bike is its 800cc triple engine, one of the most exciting and thrilling motorcycle motors ever. There is no exhaust note coming from it. You get a symphony out of it.
Additionally, it has the impression of being a bike with quite a lot of potential. Per the specifications on paper, the triple offers 115 horsepower and 83 Nm of torque (available at 3500 rpm). It feels like you’re riding something with at least 200 more cubic centimeters in real life. It rings loud, and it produces about 15% more torque than the Brutale. Great pleasure equals a big torque spread.
Lusso provides one of the most advanced electronic rider assist devices MV has yet to offer to aid your endeavors. Sport, Touring, Rain, and All-Inclusive Custom Mode are the four-engine modes you can choose from. In these modes, you can change engine response, throttle sensitivity, engine braking (seriously?), and even set a rev limiter.

Snake-skinned trendsetters will have no problem, but if your dress size exceeds your maximum fighting weight, you may want to reconsider your lapsed gym membership. And at 850mm, it’s pretty tall. So maybe you should exercise your hamstrings. You’ll need their support every time you try to throw your leg over it to prevent your knee cap from being brutally crushed by the back of the bike. Alternatively, you can mount it and use the footpegs as stirrups. Be careful not to get your clothes ripped off.
The luxury factor? I believe that MV considers the word “luxury” to be a vague idea. Rightfully so. Furniture and hotels are better and better defined by the concept of luxury.
In its light, the Luso is equipped with heated handlebar grips, cruise control, a large TFT panel, LED lighting, panniers, a center stand, and electronically controlled suspension. As a result, it costs $3000 more ($23,499) than the base Veloce ($20,449), making it an obvious choice. Without a second thought, I would use the extra three keys.
The 2022 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso Sports Touring Bike, like all MVs, needs the correct suspension department setup. If you don’t, you’ll be left wondering what all the fuss is about. If everything is set up correctly, your MV will make you happy.
The free app I described can be used to replace the Sachs electronic suspension that comes with the Luso. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you’ll be able to completely screw up your rest, causing drunks on Harleys to corner you. It makes it easy to tinker with damping and preload.
On the day Nick Eddards took the photos, I rode both the Luso and the standard version with David Song, and there is a noticeable difference between the two. Although I hadn’t started tinkering with the app yet, Luso felt more rooted and precise than the basic version.
It is followed by itching. You wouldn’t be buying an MV to sift through mashed avocado.
MVs have traditionally been the bikes of professional riders. They admire the talented and determined and mock the timid and uncertain. And for that additional reason, I greatly respect Mark’s commitment to riding purity.
The Stradale’s triangular steel frame was reused but now features updated steering geometry with additional degrees of rake and 30mm-offset triple clamps. Additionally, the swingarm pivot has been lowered by six millimeters to guarantee that the rear suspension responds more neutrally to the chain pull. But only if you’re balls-deep in three bastard corners and your manhood is on the line will you care.
At first, I believed the rear brake pedal was set too low. Although I checked, I’m not sure if it’s adjustable or not. It is not necessarily a defect. Instead, it just needs to get used to where it concerns other bikes. And I believe MV put it there to differentiate its bikes from other models
The dash was something I had trouble with. Undoubtedly, this TFT is a vision of glory. However, its use is much more complicated. Sure would have helped ease my anxiety, but there are more efficient ways to perform multi-function dashes. Oh, I see. Stop the nonsense. It is the MV.
2022 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso Sports Touring Bike – Power Output
In preparation for the upcoming MV Agusta review, we performed a power output test on the VeloceLusso test dynamometer, recording horsepower, and torque values. The inline triple produced 53.62 pound-feet of torque at 8,740 rpm and 96.73 peak horsepower at 11,290 rpm. The Turismo’s torque curve is most notable for its tabletop-like flatness. It starts to reach 50 pound-feet of torque around 4,000 rpm and doesn’t drop below that until 10,000 rpm. You can use a direct power supply to create a versatile powertrain for any riding situation.
