2022 Kawasaki KX250X Dirt Motorcycle Review Price Specs

Last year, Kawasaki released all-new off-road cross-country competition models, the KX450X and KX250X, featuring proven technology for the championship on KX racing motorcycles and specially designed for off-road competition. We’re done. In the last 20 years, Kawasaki has won more than 25 titles in off-road racing, including WORCS, National Hare & Hound, GNCC, and Endurocross. The engine, frame, chassis, and aesthetics of the KX450X and KX250X are all influenced by the same elements of their motor cross. Unique cross-country tuning and settings, such as soft suspension settings, lower gearing, off-road 21 “/ 18” wheel combination, Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires, braking parts, skid plate, and kickstand, combine with this successful foundation. Moderate suspension settings and a small gear ratio contribute to the ideal handling package of the off-road KX lineup ready for the race.

Kawasaki’s KX250X cross-country racer retains all the championship-winning performance and factory-style features of the KX250 motocross racer but with X-specific engine tuning and suspension settings, 21/18 inch wheels with enduro-type tires, and accessibility. Standard features such as a side stand, and skid plate prepare it for off-road competition.

The Bike That Builds Champions

With championship-winning packages, including the latest forms of off-road competition, the Kawasaki KX Motorbike Line makes a stronger comeback for 2022 than ever.

The KX450 is a flagship model in the Kawasaki KX lineup, featuring a powerful 449cc engine, electronic start, Showa A-KIT technology suspension, and cond disc-spring hydraulic clutch that has won awards, accolades, and races.

The 2022 KX250, completely redesigned in 2021, is still the most potent, with a sleek aluminum frame, electronic start, and condenser disc-spring hydraulic clutch. The KX250 has won more AMA motocross and supercross titles than any other manufacturer, genuinely establishing itself as the winner’s bike.

Dual Injectors

The Kawasaki KXTM250F was the first motor cross bike to use dual injectors in mass production. One injector is located below the throttle valve, where the injectors are found on standard FI systems, while the other is connected to the air box at the top of the throttle valve. The two injectors have different roles: they enable smooth, fast response at low rpm and high pack power at high rpm by operating at various ranges. The downstream injector is in charge of the principal operation in situations requiring low RPM operation, such as quick off-line speed and accurate cornering control. Because it is close to the combustion chamber, the sprayed fuel can be quickly delivered to the engine, resulting in an immediate reaction.

KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode)

The KLCM automatically controls the engine’s output to prevent the wheel from spinning and assists riders by improving stop-to-acceleration. When the clutch lever is pushed in and the system is turned on, the engine speed is limited to a specific rate while the rider retains full power. The engine speed is allowed to increase once the rider releases the clutch lever to attach the clutch, but the emphasis is adjusted to prevent the wheel from spinning and to keep the front wheel on the ground. When the rider goes into third gear or reaches a certain speed, the device disconnects automatically. Riders can choose from various settings depending on the model, each with gradually advanced interference.
