Big Design, an award-winning design agency, was brought on board to help us create a futuristic motorbike. At this moment, we are living in the future. The 2022 FXE Zero Electric Bike is both stunning in its design and record-breaking in performance. There was no other thing like it in the world of motorcycling, and it could only have come from the world’s leading manufacturer of electric bikes and powertrains. The future is here.
2022 FXE Zero Electric Bike – Features and Price
Design
In 2018, design Zero collaborated with Bill Webb on a Zero FXS Custom build. Ultimately, we wanted to use the build as a source of inspiration for the design of future Zero bikes. Often, idea designs go so far beyond the realm of practicality that they cannot be used in the actual world. Bill Webb used a new strategy. He set out to develop something on the cutting edge of technology but was also approachable and conceivable in the real world. The motorcycle industry’s enthusiasm for the bike did not come as a surprise to us. This zeal extended well beyond the confines of our sector.
The goal of this project is to improve our understanding of transportation. No other affordable luxury product has provided such a performance-style stability balance.
Technology
On top of the groundbreaking Zero ZF 75-5 engine with the Cypher II operating system, the FXE’s new LED head and taillights, as well as a full color bonded TFT display, practically outshine motorcyclists much beyond its station. The best of both worlds.
Performance Profile
With a simple push of a button, you can fine-tune your bike’s performance for city streets or your local supermoto circuit. With the Zero FXE, you can choose between Eco and Sport settings right out of the box. Using a mobile device, you may change the performance of your bike or monitor its performance.
Experience
An upright riding posture and no gears or clutch make the FXE the most user-friendly motorbike on the road… The rider’s body becomes one with the bike. A joyride through traffic has never been so enjoyable. For those looking for a smooth ride, the FXE motorbike is your best bet.
Dash
Colorful and bonded 5-inch TFT dashboard. Speed, charge level, power output, riding profile, and anticipated recharge time are all shown on the Zero FXE dash. The dash may be turned into secondary customized energy by syncing with your smartphone.
Motor
The Zero FXE engine can provide a maximum torque of 78 lb-ft. Energy is returned to the battery through the air-cooled Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor and regenerative braking. The IPM engine has impressive power and acceleration.
Liquid cooling is unnecessary, cumbersome, and costly. There’s no regular upkeep. No muss, no hassle. It is the most efficient, powerful, and compact motor.
Suspension
Suspension articulation on the Zero FXE is exceptional, thanks to the Showa suspension. Rear suspension travel on the Zero FXE is over 9 inches, providing excellent dampening of the road’s irregularities.
Wheels and Tires
The responsiveness of the Zero FXE’s handling reflects its svelte appearance. Cast alloy wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires comprise a grip-enhancing system. Unsprung weight is reduced with a hollow front axle, resulting in better handling.
Brakes
Consistent stopping power is provided by the Bosch anti-lock brake system (ABS). Under harsh braking, the system optimizes deceleration. It has been tested in a variety of situations. The levers that control the braking system may be modified for better ergonomics. The rider can activate or deactivate ABS.
Direct Drive
Remove clutches, gears, shifting, chains, and all of their hefty complications from the equation. Efficiently propel yourself through the air as your energy transforms into propulsion. Zero FXE uses a direct-drive motor. Using a carbon fiber belt, the state-of-the-art engine links directly to the rear wheel.
Onboard Charger
Any home outlet may be used to charge the Zero FXE’s inbuilt 650 W onboard charger. Using optional Quick Chargers may reduce charging times.
Frame
In terms of efficiency, the aircraft-grade aluminum frame of the Zero FXE is impressive. The Zero FXE weighs in at 298 pounds when completely assembled.
