Indian Motorcycle inspires Young Riders to hand down the eFTR Jr.
Young riders can feel like a member of the legendary Indian Motorcycle Wrecking Crew, who dominated the flat track in the 1950s and have won every championship since returning to the sport in 2017. The all-new electric mini-bike is distinctive in its dynamic styling and enables young riders to feel like team members. The eFTR Jr can handle riders eight years or older in low mode and thirteen years of age or older in a high way. It has two ride modes, low and high, a seat height of 23.5 inches, and a maximum weight of 175 pounds. The bike’s telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension provide riders a pleasant, smooth ride, and its rigid steel frame gives new riders a sturdy foundation. The dual-disc brakes on the eFTR Jr. provide superior stopping force for improved control and rider confidence.
The eFTR Jr was created with this sentiment in mind, according to Ross Clifford, vice president of parts, apparel, and accessories at Indian Motorcycle. “Whether it was a mother, father, uncle, or family friend, most bikers have fond memories of the person who introduced them to riding,” Clifford said. “We wanted our first youth product to be electric to provide kids a simple, safe, and clean way to ride a motorcycle while maintaining the FTR750’s distinctive appearance. The entire family can begin a lifetime of riding experiences with the eFTR Jr.
The eFTR Jr was created by Indian Motorcycle’s product development team in collaboration with Razor USA around Razor’s dependable and tested electric engine. The 36-volt rechargeable battery in the eFTR Jr. can operate in low mode for 140 minutes at ten mph and high mode for 65 minutes at 15 mph.
