The first and most crucial step in becoming a race champion is getting the holes hot. The same logic applies when someone is picking a racer’s bike. We created the 2022 CRF150R Honda Dirt Motorcycle and CRF150R Expert. A teenage rider receives a lifetime of holes hot—an advantage—from these motocrossers. They deliver a broad power band without demanding a lot of unnecessary maintenance since they are built on a high-performance Unicam engine inspired by our open-class CRF450R. We offer two versions since champions come in various shapes and sizes: To better house taller riders, our 2022 Honda CRF150R Expert model features larger wheels, an extended swing arm, and a slightly higher seat. It features the same fantastic engine. After selecting your weapon, be ready for the ultimate race!
The 2022 CRF150R Honda Dirt Motorcycle, the most well-liked compact moto crosser in the power dirt sports sector, is available in the Honda CRF150R Big Wheel model as well. The latter has bigger wheels, a higher seat, and more rear suspension travel, making it an excellent option for taller riders. Honda’s tiniest motocross motorcycle is equipped with Showa suspension, which includes a 37mm inverted fork and a solo shock coupled to a Pro-Link rear linkage system. It also comes with a Unicam four-stroke engine, exclusive to Honda mini MX, and offers a solid but flat power spread throughout the rev range.
2022 CRF150R Honda Dirt Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Engine / Drivetrain
High-performance cylinder head with Unicam. Engine assembly is small and light, weighing just 43.6 lbs. The oil supply for the gearbox and clutch differs from that for the pistons, crankshaft, and valve train, thanks to the twin-sump lubrication system. It guarantees a supply of cold oil to the clutch, prevents engine oil from potentially being contaminated by clutch and transmission components, minimizes the volume of circulating oil, and enables the use of a smaller oil pump.
Throughout the power band, the cylinder head, piston, camshaft, and carburetor offer power, torque, and rideability. Easy starting, whether it’s hot or cold, is provided by the lightweight, compact, internal auto decompression and handlebar-attached hot-start system. Accurate fuel metering is fed by the 32 mm Keihin FCR carburetor with an accelerator-pump circuit, delivering sharp throttle response and excellent readability throughout the powerband. Even in the worst track conditions, suspension settings provide decent action. An aluminum muffler and extremely lightweight stainless-steel header are installed in the exhaust system.
Chassis / Suspension
The 2022 CRF150R Honda Dirt Motorcycle’s unique front and rear suspension settings provide the best bump-absorption qualities. The large-diameter frame tubing and cross-member of the lightweight, high-tensile steel frame give superb straight-line tracking and turning ability. The friction-reducing design of the 37mm leading-axle inverted Showa cartridge fork guarantee compression and rebound control. Pro-Link suspension for the back. Sturdy wheels and light weight help reduce unsprung weight. Powerful, precise braking is given by lightweight front and rear disc brakes with high-performance pads. Surface treatment has been shown to the robust 15 mm front and 17 mm rear axles for increased strength and longevity: reusable two-stage foam air filter and large-capacity airbox. The radiator shroud, fuel tank, side covers, seat base, rear fender, front fender, and front number plate are lightweight plastic body parts that offer a slender, aggressive appearance.
High-quality Dunlop tires
The new rear master cylinder and fluid reservoir are combined into the HRC works-type rear-brake system, reducing the need for a distinct rear master cylinder reservoir and hose.
Unicam® Engine
A Unicam engine from our championship-winning Honda CRF450R is used in the Honda CRF150R. The engine performed reliably on various tracks and was built to offer exceptional readability, more power, and torque throughout the rpm range. It’s a winner all around.
Accelerator Pump
The carburetor in the Honda CRF150R has a “direct push” accelerator pump, which increases and speeds up the throttle response.
Track-Designed Chassis
A lightweight, high-tensile steel frame offers excellent turning performance and straight-line tracking, including large-diameter tubing and cross member.
Pro-Link Rear Suspension
Exceptional bump absorption and wheel control are given by the new Pro-Link rear suspension system on the Honda CRF150R.
Showa® Suspension
The adjustable 37mm leading-axle inverted Showa cartridge fork has a friction-reducing design and precisely adjusted valves for tiny bumps to improve compression and rebound management.
Front Disc Brake
The front disc brake offers powerful, precise braking.
Lightweight Wheels
Wheels that are sturdy and light reduce unsprung weight.
Rear Disc Brake
The rear disc brake gives powerful and precise braking.
Big-Bike Mx Graphics
The CRF150R has redesigned graphics for 2022 that resemble those on our CRF450R and are simple, bold, and vibrant. Ride like an expert and dress the part.
