Boxer Engine
It has undergone technical and aesthetic fine-tuning for the new 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Edition 40 BMW Heritage Bike and is now geared to fulfill the EU-5 pollution class criteria. Power output has been reduced from 7750 RPM to 7250 RPM however the maximum torque has not changed from the previous 116 Nm (6000 RPM to 7250 RPM).
Newly designed cylinder heads throttle valve components and headcovers enhance the 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Edition 40 BMW Heritage Bike’s visual attractiveness by providing a more harmonic transition between the outer and inner cooling fins.
To provide even better and cleaner combustion and higher torque, a new turbulence system has been installed within the cylinder heads. Compared to the previous model, the new one has a more robust power and torque profile, notably in the region between 4000 and 6000 rpm.
ABS Pro
This year’s new 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Edition 40 BMW Heritage Bike include ABS Pro in conjunction with DBC (Dynamic Brake Control) for enhanced brake safety while cornering and in other challenging conditions.
Shock absorbers with travel-dependent damping (WAD) are standard equipment, giving improved suspension comfort and simple spring preload adjustment through a handwheel. Additionally, “Rain” and “Road” modes have been added to the standard package.
Classic Circular Instrument
There is a redesigned circular instrument dial with the BMW emblem and indicator lights that are “invisible” when not lighted as part of the standard trim in the 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Edition 40 BMW Heritage Bike. The new R nineT variants also come standard with LED headlamps and white indicator lights. The new R nineT models have a USB charging port and a wide variety of basic functionality.
Innovative Technology
The new 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Edition 40 BMW Heritage Bike from BMW Motorrad have significantly been improved technically and attractively. DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and brand new engine drag torque control are now available as independent options in the Riding Modes Pro package for the R nineT and R nineT Pure, as well as the BMW R nineT Scrambler and BMW R nineT Urban G/S. (MSR).
The Comfort Package including Riding Modes Pro, cruise control, and heated handlebar grips, is another new option. New to the list of available accessories are the turn signal light and the rear silencer design options.
For those riders who want a more conventional approach to personalizing their R nineT, “Option 719” provides an array of luxurious possibilities. The Original BMW Motorrad Accessories collection now includes a rear conversion with a short back end and a number plate holder behind the rear wheel, as well as a, rear-end in tracker design, in addition to the previously mentioned wheels and machined components packages (Tracker rear end).
