2021 R nineT BMW Racer Heritage Motorcycle Review Specs

The new 2021 R nineT BMW Racer Heritage Motorcycle was more than a retro-inspired roadster when BMW Motorrad unveiled it in 2013. It resulted from a careful blend of traditional motorcycle style with cutting-edge technology and an abundance of personalization choices.

Shortly after, the 2021 R nineT BMW Racer Heritage Motorcycle found a variety of exciting derivatives in the BMW Motorrad Heritage world of experience, including the R nineT Urban G/S, an enduro based on the legendary R 80 G/S of 1980, the BMW R nineT Scrambler, a tribute to this distinctive motorcycle-style for those who love a purist, reduced, and non-conformist style, and the R nineT Pure, a roadster stripped down to its essential components.

Technical improvements and a widening of the standard and extra equipment options have been made to the R nineT family for the 2021 season.

Boxer Engine

To be used in the new 2021 R nineT BMW Racer Heritage Motorcycle, the boxer engine has undergone technical and aesthetic refinement to fulfill EU-5 pollutant class standards. Power output has been decreased from-7750RPM from 7250RPM.

However, the maximum torque has not changed from 116 Nm (6000 RPM to 7250 RPM). The bike’s redesigned throttle valve components and cylinder head coverings, as well as freshly designed cylinder heads, allow a more seamless transition from the outside to the inner cooling fins.

For smoother and cleaner combustion and higher performance, the cylinder heads include a new turbulence system that swirls the mixture. Pulling power is now noticeably better than before, thanks to more robust management and torque curve, notably between 4000 and 6000 rpm.

ABS Pro Including DBC – Dynamic Brake Control

Standard equipment on the new 2021 R nineT BMW Racer Heritage Motorcycle includes ABS Pro with DBC (Dynamic Brake Control) for improved braking safety, both at banking angles and in harsh conditions.

With the redesigned shock absorbers travel-dependent damping (WAD), you can change the spring preload with ease using the handwheel that comes standard. Riding modes for rain and road have been included as well.

Classic Circular Instrument

Newly designed dials and “invisible” indicator lights are standard equipment on R nineT vehicles with a circular instrument panel. Similarly, the new 2021 R nineT BMW Racer Heritage Motorcycle now have LED headlamps and white indicator lights. The enhanced range of standard features in the new R nineT versions complements a USB charging connection.

Innovative Technology

When it comes to the new 2021 R nineT BMW Racer Heritage Motorcycle, BMW Motorrad has made substantial improvements, both in terms of technology and aesthetics. Riding Modes Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, and Engine Drag Torque Control is now available as new individual choices for the R nineT Scrambler and R nineT Urban G/S, as well as modes “Dyna” for the R ninet and R nineT Pure and “Dirt” for the R nineT Scrambler (MSR).

Riding Modes Pro, cruise control, and brand-new heated handlebar grips are all included in the Comfort Package. The turning light and the rear silencer design choice are also new additions to the individual accessory options.

“Option 719,” on the other hand, provides a wide range of possibilities for personalizing the R nineT to fit the owner’s preferences. The Original BMW Motorrad Accessories group now includes a rear conversion having a short back end and the number plate holder behind its rear wheel, as well as rear-end in tracker design, in addition to the previously mentioned wheels and machined components packages (Tracker rear end).

The new standard and available paint treatments for the R nineT model range complete the upgrades. The R nineT Urban G/S 40 Years is particularly noteworthy in this context. This one-of-a-kind model is only available as a one-of-a-kind limited edition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the BMW Motorrad GS family.
