The TPI is prominently displayed on this agile, light, and extreme terrain master (transfer port injection). With no re-jetting or mixing of gasoline, this easy-to-shred thoroughbred becomes even easier to ride and work on while providing exceptional fuel economy and pure exhaust emissions. Because of its class-leading flex qualities, the KTM 150 XC-W TPI is well-known for its outstanding agility, and its lightweight frame contributes to this.
“XC” denotes cross-country racing. The “W” stands for its broad transmission range. “KTM” is a symbol of success. TPI (transfer port injection) has been added to the name of this agile, lightweight, and extreme terrain master for 2020 and is proudly displayed next to its name. Rejecting or mixing gasoline is no longer necessary, making this race-ready motorcycle even easier to ride and maintain. A brand-new frame with increased flex characteristics complements the revised bodywork and suspension on the KTM 150 XC-W TPI, which already has a reputation for extreme agility. Together, these enhancements let rider and machine to previously unimaginable heights of performance.
2021 KTM 150 XC-W TPI Dirt Bike – Features and Price
Exhaust
The redesigned exhaust plays a critical role in improving power delivery and performance, and it delivers a punch that is almost impossible to match. Utilizing 3-D stamping technology, the pipe has an optimum form. A new perforated inner tube and lighter wool have been included in the silencer’s redesigned design. Combined with the TPI engine, the redesigned exhaust delivers exceptional endure-specific performance with much more bottom-end power than the carburetor predecessor. As an additional benefit of replacing the muffler’s plastic mounting mechanism, the weight of the damper has been reduced by 60 g.
Engine
Thanks to cutting-edge engineering, creative two-stroke design, and groundbreaking TPI fuel injection technology, the 150cc 2-stroke power train delivers class-leading power across the rev range for the first time. For individuals who are eager to take up more intense activity on two wheels, this lightweight, compact 2-stroke is an excellent choice.
Airbox
For the KTM 150 XC-W TPI, the new airbox has been fully rebuilt to accommodate the TPI system’s new throttle body. Allows enhanced flow dynamics and gives optimum power and throttle response in conjunction with updated intake snorkels. Despite the evident improvements in performance, the new design also provides optimal protection against dirt and debris entering the air filter. Using a well-built, strong cage, the massive twin-air air filter may be installed with the least amount of chance of failure. As with prior KTM models, filter replacement is simple and doesn’t need special equipment.
Frame
Chromium-alloy steel frames are standard on all XC-W variants. Among them are the hydro-formed components made using the most up-to-date robot welding technology. Their race-proven geometry has been retained, but critical parts have been redesigned to have more muscular lateral, longitudinal, and torsional stiffness, resulting in better input for the rider, lively handling, and increased stability. The engine head stays (the link between the cylinder, head, and frame) are now built of aluminum, which reduces vibration and improves cornering precision. On the right side, the muffler is shielded from excessive heat by newly designed lateral frame guards with a structured surface. The new subframe is 40 millimeters longer than the old one and is constructed of lighter and sturdier aluminum profiles, weighing just 900 grams.
Seat
High-density foam cushioning and an ergonomically redesigned seat surface combine to make the XC-W series the most comfortable chairs on the market. One long, lateral screw secures the seat to the bike, making it both safe and straightforward to use.
Handlebar
Each KTM XC-W model has the same NEKEN aluminum tapered handlebars for strength and durability. The handlebar may be positioned in one of four ways. The vulcanized grip on the right-hand side of the handlebars and an ODI grip on the left-hand side are standard features.
