2021 KingQuad 500AXi Power Steering Utility ATV – Features and Specs
Key Elements
A relaxing riding posture, geometric design, and low-effort electronic power steering. Large towing capacity, independent suspension, and smooth riding on any surface. Engine with plenty of torque, EFI fueling, and QuadMatic gearbox with efficient engine braking. Headlights are positioned on the fender and handlebar, an LED taillight, and a complete LCD instrument panel. The new and interchangeable cargo rack carrier covers allow you to set up your KingQuad for any mission
Engine Features
The potent 493cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine is optimized to provide excellent top-end power throughout a broad power band. For a low center of gravity, the engine’s head and cylinder are canted forward, which lowers the seat height and lowers the engine height. A balance shaft is also included in the engine for smooth running. Large intake valves and straight intake ports are features of the small, four-valve cylinder head that significantly improve cylinder charging efficiency. Valve lash adjusters with screws and nuts make maintenance simpler.
Utilizing SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) coating, a lightweight aluminum cylinder with outstanding heat transmission and ring sealing achieves exceptional combustion chamber efficiency. Advanced Suzuki Fuel Injection enhances engine starting under all circumstances and enhances throttle responsiveness and fuel economy while delivering power steadily over the whole rev range. The KingQuad readily complies with US emissions regulations, even for vehicles sold in California that adhere to that state’s strict evaporation emissions requirement (eligible for green sticker registration). Stable engine operating temperature is provided by a high-capacity aluminum radiator with a big diameter, thermostatically regulated cooling fan.
Transmission Features
With a fender-mounted gate-type shifter for high/low range options, the QuadMatic CVT-type automatic gearbox offers flexibility and simplicity. Its sophisticated engine-braking technology reduces free-wheeling when the throttle is down and aids in maintaining control of the car on steep descents. Compact limited-slip front differentials with torque sensors provide strong traction and light steering. An effective 4WD traction solution is a differential lock. Push-button controls positioned on the handlebar make switching between 2WD, 4WD, and differential-lock 4WD simple. When removing dirt, an override button on the left handlebar may be used to bypass the standard speed limits.
Chassis Features
The KingQuad’s chassis features thick-wall tubes and strengthened brackets in strategic locations to improve rider comfort, making the ATV more straightforward to maneuver on any terrain and boosting towing capability. For less effort and tighter turning in confined spaces, the essential steering characteristics have been modified to an “under-steer” state. It enables the use of handlebars that are taller and more comfortable. The KingQuad’s cutting-edge electric power steering technology is more capable than its predecessor, resulting in noticeably less steering effort while at the same time reducing vibration and jolts to the rider. High-clearance fenders on the striking, angular bodywork protect the rider from flying objects.
Maintenance responsibilities like checking the oil level and changing the fuel and air filters are made simpler by refined panels. With 6.7 inches of wheel travel, the independent double A-arm front suspension has large-diameter gas-charged shock absorbents with five-way spring preload adjustment. With 7.7 inches of wheel travel and a big diameter, gas-charged shock absorbed with five-way spring reload adjustment; the rear suspension is fully independent and A-arm/I-beam. Rear stabilizer bars with wide diameters and compliant bushings assist in regulating body movement while absorbing shock for the rider. For the best braking performance, the twin hydraulic front disc brakes combine high-friction brake pad material, fluid lines, and a lever ratio. The new foot brake lever ratio of the sealed, multi-plate rear brake system offers the rider excellent control.
The clutch-type design of the rear brake results in high durability, decreased unsprung weight and minimal maintenance. Carlisle tires measuring 25 inches in diameter are placed on sturdy steel wheels with a matte-black finish that is powder coated to last. Suzuki’s comfortable T-shaped seat gives the rider movement while tackling challenging terrain or enthusiastic riding. Over rocks and rough terrain, polyethylene skid plates protect with little resistance. Sturdy plastic shields protect the front and back half shafts.
Utility Features
The 35-watt handlebar-mounted lamp illuminates the route in the direction you are guiding the ATV. The KingQuad’s unique design has dual 35-watt headlights with high and low settings. The ATV is more visible in low-light situations while using less electricity because of its powerful and low-draw LED tail light. With the King Quad’s extensive towing capability, a receiver-style trailer hitch installation makes it simple to choose the sort of equipment you wish to haul (up to 1322 pounds). Winch installation is made easy by wire conduit and mounts that are winch-ready. The multi-function instrument panel now has a better visual appeal and offers servicing reminders depending on mileage or operating time. The instrumentation comprises LCD readouts for the fuel level, driving range, clock, dual trip meter, hour meter, and drive mode. For high, low, reverse, neutral, 2WD/4WD, and differential-locked 4WD, there are LED indications.
There are also LED warnings for fuel injection and engine temperature. An 18-amp maintenance-free battery receives electricity from high output, three-phase charging system, providing enough of power for simple starting and accessory usage. Standard is a sealed 12V auxiliary outlet. The giant fuel tank, which holds 4.6 gallons (17.5 L), is positioned to have a low center of gravity. It has a filler cap with a ratchet design and a vacuum-operated petcock. The ATV has a substantial storage capacity thanks to a vast 4.0-liter storage box in the center of the back, next to the existing 4.0-liter left-side container. 2.8 liters of water-resistant front storage space with a screw-on cover that is simple to open.
The rugged, steel-tube front and rear luggage racks feature a wrinkle paint finish for durability and scratch resistance. New, high-impact carrier coverings for the cargo racks protect goods from abrasion while increasing the quad’s look. It is simple to remove the covers so that Suzuki accessories or other equipment may be mounted straight to the cargo racks. Complete flooring with built-in elevated foot pegs provides safety. Winches, windshields, front and rear bumpers, quick-release snow plows, metal skid pans, rack extensions, utility boxes, and other Suzuki Genuine Accessories are among the many options available.
