Engine
The 948cc engine boasts a smooth, linear power delivery that is easy to regulate and contributes to the comfort and confidence of the rider, but it also has a strong mid-range hit that pulls the red line tightly. Encourages a lot. Smooth performance at all rpms thanks to an efficient 4-valve DOHC cylinder with a responsive liquid cold engine.
The lightweight crankshaft design helps with the high-speed nature of the engine. The secondary engine balancer removes excess vibration, but the required amount remains to give the motorcycle a sense of character and acceleration. The open deck design of the die-cast cylinder block helps to save weight while maintaining rigidity.
Connecting the tunnels between the cylinders relieves the pressure and improves high rpm efficiency by reducing the pumping loss. The pistons are made using the same proprietary casting methods found in the Ninja H2TM / H2TMR. This method produces hollow sections to achieve maximum thickness for weight loss. For greater efficiency, a down draft intake design provides the shortest, most direct route to the combustion chamber of the fuel mixture.
Digital Fuel Injection (KP)
The mid-range response of 36mm throttle bodies is excellent. The ECU controls the sub-throttle valves, located behind the main throttle valves, to ensure a smooth and responsive throttle response in the EFI system.
Exhaust System
35mm exhaust headers are designed for top-end performance while reducing useless exhaust noise. Combined pipes that connect headers 1-4 and 2-3 help increase the torque of the distance between them. The 5-liter pre-chamber enables the use of a small muffler, which helps center the mass and reduces noise levels when slowed down. In the compact muffler design, the dual inner chambers improve the auxiliary performance and exhaust sound.
Assist and Slipper Clutch (KP)
The clutch is pressed together during acceleration (Assist function) using the rotating forces of the clutch hub and pressure plate, allowing the use of low and light clutch springs for a light feeling on the lever. The sleeper feature allows some clutches to slip in high backtrack conditions, such as when the gear is set too low during shifting down, helping to prevent engine lockup, stalling, and rear wheel hop.
Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTRC) (KP)
The 3-mode system adapts to a variety of riding conditions, either providing better sports rides or providing rider confidence by allowing smooth rides on smooth surfaces.
Sport-Kawasaki Traction Manage (S-KTRC) uses advanced analytics to predict unfavorable traction conditions and will respond before the wheel’s lubrication exceeds the maximum traction limit. Modes 1 and 2 control the ignition timing. Mode 3 adjusts ignition timing, fuel and air for extremely smooth operation and has high sensitivity.
Power Mode
Allows cyclists to customize power features according to their riding style and conditions. Riders have the option to operate at full power or low power, which is approximately 55% full power with a mild throttle response.
