Balanced Supercharged Engine
The Ninja H2TM motorbike’s supercharged engine-based balanced supercharged engine achieves power balance for exciting acceleration, providing excellent fuel efficiency and more road-based performance.
Supercharged Intake
An all-new centrifugal-type supercharger designed and manufactured by Kawasaki has a massive pumping capacity. The crankshaft ambitions planetary gear that rotates a 69 mm impeller specially designed for Kawasaki gas turbines and aerospace technology.
Since the supercharger is so efficient, the compressed intake air is heated slightly, so no intercooler is required. To help generate high power, the RAM air intake duct delivers fresh air to the supercharger in a straight line. Between the supercharger and the throttle bodies, an aluminum intake chamber helps dissipate heat and keep the intake air cool.
The blade shape and angle of the 69mm supercharger impeller were optimized for the broad power characteristics of the balanced supercharger engine. For maximum performance, rpm and airflow volume settings were also adjusted.
The impeller features six blades at the tip that extends up to 12 edges at the base and is made of the forged aluminum block using a five-axis CNC machining machine to ensure optimal accuracy and durability. The airflow is directed through the ducts carved into the blade surfaces. Thanks to Kawasaki gas turbines and aerospace technology, the crankshaft drives a planetary gear train that increases the speed of the impeller by 9.2 times the speed of the crankshaft.
Engine
The throat of the intake ports is built using a two-stage machining method for the cylinder head, designed for the Ninja® ZX-10R, winner of the Multimeter World World Bike Championship. The new valve seat area is bored twice: once for the throat and then for the valve seats. As a result, intake airflow is smoother, delivers intake loss and also improves efficiency.
The cam profiles are designed primarily to meet the ideal airflow requirements of a typical road ride, ensuing in lower to mid-range performance and improved fuel economy. Intake and exhaust ports are combined to enhance low-to-mid-range efficiency and fuel economy.
Engine Sound Tuning
Sound analysis was performed to design the intake duct, tune an active sound of the supercharger, and tune the intake sound to create a sound specific to the Kawasaki Z H2.
Exhaust System
Extended header pipes and chamber exhaust systems help improve low- and mid-range power. Using a small muffler can help you lose weight.
Kawasaki DFI (KP), including Electronic Throttle Valves (ETV)(KP)
The ECU uses 40mm electronic throttle valves to manage the fuel volume (via fuel injectors) and air (through throttle valves) delivered to the engine. Smooth, natural engine response and optimal engine performance are achieved by excellent fuel injection and throttle valve position. The device also improves traction control system input and supports Kawasaki launch and engine brake control.
ETV enables the installation of a cruise control system, which allows you to maintain the selected speed with the touch of a button for extra touring comfort.
Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS)
Quick shifter with a contactless potentiometer for smooth acceleration without reversing the throttle. KQS automatically adjusts engine speed when slowing down when the throttle is completely off, and engine speed does not come close to the red line, allowing it to go down without using the clutch lever.
Assist & Slipper Clutch
The clutch is pressed together during acceleration (Assist function) using the rotating forces of the clutch hub and pressure plate, resulting in a low, light clutch spring and a light lever. The sleeper feature allows clutch slippage to help the engine prevent lockup, stalling, and rear wheel hop when the backtrack is too high, such as low gear selection when shifting down.
Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC)
Mode 1 promotes forward acceleration, while Mode 2 compromises performance and rider confidence. Mode 3 gives the rider confidence by allowing a smooth ride in intelligent situations. This method uses an ignition kit and airflow control (via electronic throttle valves) to verify conditions every five milliseconds, resulting in a swift response.
The system monitors traction conditions using complex analysis. The power reduction can be minimized by intervening before the lubrication exceeds the maximum traction threshold, resulting in exceptionally smooth operation.
Power Modes
Riders can choose from three power transmission options according to their preferences and circumstances.
- Complete: Full power operation
- Medium: Limited work (approximately 75% of total capacity).
- Low: Limited work (about 50% of maximum capacity).
