2021 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 ABS Adventure Bike – Features and Specs
Engine with Parallel Twins
The parallel twin-cylinder engine is designed for a wide range of riding conditions. The upper riding position provides considerable comfort both in the city and on the open road—full-size physics for lightweight street bikes. Assist and sleeper clutch have light pull and are easy to use.
Low solid to medium-range torque makes it easy to get off the stop. Using the right airbox shape and intake duct improves engine performance. The airbox is similarly thin and compact, reducing the overall width of the chassis so that riders can touch their feet to the ground. Lightweight pistons improve performance throughout the board. The Versys-X 300 works on conventional fuels thanks to its low compression ratio, which helps reduce piston temperatures.
To improve the cooling of the piston, oil jets spray the piston, including the ducts so that the oil can be carried to the entire bottom of each piston. The small pins of the piston helps to maintain the engine speed by reducing each other.
Digital Fuel Injection (DFI)(KP)
Easy start, smooth affordability, high performance, and improved fuel mileage are all benefits of DFI. Includes dual throttle valves (KP) for maximum performance and riding ability. The ECU controls the sub-throttle, which occurs before the primary throttle valves in the throttle bore, to control the airflow for smooth, linear throttle response accurately.
Tuned Exhaust System
For adventure-style riding, the exhaust header is pinned to the engine and helps increase low- and mid-range power. The center pipe and header pipe have larger diameters, which help to improve the top-end strength.
The muffler with a complex cross-section gives enough volume to comply with sound standards and provides a good angle for cornering. Smaller, smaller shapes also help focus more.
Assist & Slipper Clutch (KP)
The clutch is pressed together during acceleration (Assist function) using the rotating forces of the clutch hub and pressure plate, allowing the use of low and light clutch springs for a soft feeling on the lever. The sleeper feature allows some clutches to slip in high backlight conditions, such as when the low gear is selected, to help reduce engine lockup and stalling, as well as rear-wheel hop.
Six-Speed Transmission
Smooth activation and excellent shift sensation are provided by roller-type shift drum. Short final gearing improves the sense of power and response in the low to medium range.
Kawasaki Air Management System (KAMS) (KP)
The fan cover on the back of the radiator sends hot air to the ground beneath the engine, keeping it away from the rider and the fuel tank to improve riding comfort, especially when the motorcycle is stopped.
Positive Neutral Finder (KP)
Pause; just pull the shift lever from first gear to select neutral.
Unique user-friendly feature for Kawasaki.
Rigid Frame
The redesigned frame, designed specifically for the Versys-X300, enhances the Versys-X300’s ability to handle unevenly paved roads.
The weight is reduced thanks to the thin brackets and lightning holes placed with a simple structure and strategy and designed to provide front-end sensation for rider comfort.
For extra rigidity and weight savings, the rigidly mounted engine is used as the pressure member. The rider’s reach was reduced to touching the ground by keeping the frame thinner under the seat.
Long-Stroke Suspension
Longer journeys on unevenly paved roads increase the 41mm front fork capacity. For a more satisfying ride, the front fork provides good feedback. The 17mm hollow front axle adds stiffness and stability to the front end while reducing weight. With the links below, the Uni-Trak® rear suspension is also suitable for stretched surfaces and enhances riding comfort. The long swing arm helps in handling and stability while riding.
Adventure Styling
Rally bike style has been incorporated into the uneven design. The stunning design of the motorcycle also gives the impression that its engine is quite large.
The upper cowl is topped with a large windscreen to enhance ride comfort and exemplify the aggressive Kawasaki style. In hot weather, the air ducts under the headlights help prevent hot air from accumulating inside the cowl. The large hole on the side coil allows optimal heat dissipation from the radiator. In the form of lower engine protectors, the cowls are seen raising the engine and adding to the adventure.
