2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R KRT Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Unique Key Features
- A 636cc engine with a large displacement provides more usable power and torque.
- Power mode allows quick adjustment for rider preferences and conditions.
- Function fork separate from Shaw Big Piston for an excellent ride on the road and track
- Advanced Kawasaki tractor for the foreman.
636cc Ultra-Compact, Low-Friction Engine
At all RPMs, the Longstroke engine performs better than many other 600 Class engines, especially in the low to medium range for the best ride on city roads.
To prevent friction from returning to power, all internal elements are designed to be solid but small with excellent dimensional accuracy.
A small, rigid engine produces close cylinder pitch and compact crankcases. This small engine also contributes to the overall thinness and compactness of the chassis.
Digital Fuel Injection (KP)
Long throttle bodies improve the throttle response by increasing the distance between the primary and sub-throttle valves.
Dual throttle valves (KP) with 38mm Keihin throttle bodies provide excellent performance and riding. The ECU controls the sub-throttle, located in the throttle bore before the central throttle valves, to give the DFI system a more accurate throttle response than a constant-speed carburetor.
The amount of fine atomizing fuel injectors has been increased, and the spray pattern has been changed to improve mixing with air for increased displacement.
Cassette Transmission
Significantly lower engine power than the last drive. The first gear ratio is so low that it’s easy to get out of the way. The 6-speed close ratio gearbox can be separated as a cassette, allowing rapid gear changes. The gear position sensor is also connected to the dash, which provides the rider with real-time information. The technology is also compatible with semi-automatic electronic shifters, which racers use to reduce clutch shifting and lap time.
Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS)
A rapid shifter with a contactless potentiometer allows quick upshift and smooth acceleration.
When the shift lever is activated, the system sends a unique signal to the ECU to cut off the ignition, allowing the next gear to be applied without attaching the clutch. (Down shift is best done using the grip.)
FCC Assist & Slipper Clutch (KP)
The clutch is pressed together during acceleration (Assist function) using the rotating forces of the clutch hub and pressure plate, allowing the use of low and light clutch springs for a soft feeling on the lever. The sleeper function allows some clutches to slip in high backlight conditions, such as when a low gear is selected, to help the engine minimize lock-up and stalling, as well as rear-wheel hop.
Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTRC) (KP)
The 3-mode system combines the best features of the Ninja ZX-10R’s Sport-KTRC and Concours® 14’s KTRC to help maximize traction with moderate lubrication for sport riding and in difficult situations. Allowing the rider to ride smoothly builds confidence.
S-KTRC, which uses state-of-the-art analysis to predict when traction conditions are likely to be unfavorable and responds before the ideal traction of wheel lubrication exceeds, via modes 1 and 2, Is controlled. Mode 3 adjusts ignition timing, fuel and air for ultra. – Smooth operation and high sensitivity.
Rider-Responsive Chassis
They are designed to work with the suspension to provide a controlled, pleasant ride on city streets and highways while allowing exceptional cornering capabilities and fast lap times on the race track.
The frame and swing arm of the Ninja ZX-6R was designed with the perfect balance of rigidity in mind, so it provides a quick and accurate response to rider directions and excellent riding input.
Showa – All-new Big Piston Separate Function Inverted Fork (KP)
Thanks to the springs in both legs, the preload and damping duty is divided into right and left fork tubes. The preload is adjusted to the left, while compression and rebound damping are adapted to the right. For easy access, all adjustments are located at the top of the screw fork.
To increase performance during hard brakes, 37mm pistons form a strong wetting force.
Suspension settings are suitable for turning roads and city rides while maintaining strong track performance.
Ninja Styling
The front cowl of the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R KRT Sports Motorcycle has an attractive design that sets it apart from the competition. Its modest dimensions not only give the rider a great view of the road ahead but also give the rider a distinctive shape.
The look is enhanced by a pair of LED headlights, each with high and low beams, as well as position lighting. LEDs also provide more bright traditional lights for more light at night.
The top lines and overlapping and interconnected sections give the tail a sharp, distinctive shape.
An LED taillight inspired by the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R KRT Sports Motorcycle offers a stylish aesthetic when viewed from behind.
