A skilled artisan understands the importance of matching the right tool to the right task. The 2021 Honda FourTrax Recon is undoubtedly a vehicle that you’ll learn to rely on in your off-road toolkit. One of our most flexible ATVs despite its smaller size. In comparison to bigger ATVs, this one isn’t as exhausting. It’s also not going to cost heave amount of money. Low-rpm torque and power are provided by a 250cc engine that has been built explicitly for this vehicle. Optional foot-shift ATV gearbox or Honda’s Electric Shift Program are two ways to get your hands on the Recon ES (ESP). Aside from all of that, this year’s Honda Recon is even better than last year’s model because of all of the updated features and new paint jobs.
2021 FourTrax Recon Honda Utility ATV – Features and Price
Engine
In addition to being more compact and lighter, the semi-dry-sump and overhead valve designs of the Recon’s engine improve handling by reducing the center of gravity and increasing ground clearance.
Design
Our ATV and side-by-side engines’ crankshafts are oriented fronts to rear in the chassis to direct power directly to the wheels, decreasing powertrain friction and increasing ground power.
Convenience
It should be as simple as this to change gears. Pushing one of the two handlebar-mounted buttons on the ESP system (ES models only) is all it takes to upshift or downshift. Also, while riding in thick, muddy, or snow-covered boots, an electronic stability program (ESP) comes in handy.
In chilly weather, it’s as simple as turning the ignition key or pressing a button to get going. Having a secondary recoil starting mechanism gives you peace of mind. The Recon’s reverse lever is conveniently located on the left handlebar next to the parking brake.
Engineering
Efficacious, clean, well-tested, and low maintenance. Especially for riders who put in a lot of time on their machines, shaft drive is the only way to go. Lubrication and adjustment are never an issue while you’re on the trail. A bonus is that it helps keep the dirt off your ATV.
Comfort
Uniquely engineered floorboards on both the Recon and Recon ES keep muck and debris at bay while allowing the rider’s feet to hold the footrests securely.
Versatility
The LED taillight and brake light on the Recon is built to endure.
Steel Cargo Racks
33- and 66-pound payload limits are provided by the steel cargo racks mounted to the front and back of the vehicle, respectively.
