It builds on the success of the previous KTM 350 XCF-W, which can handle the same amount of torque and power as the 250 models. The core idea of this bike, which is based on a lightweight engine and frame, is apparent, and it has been a recipe for success from the beginning.
2021 350 XCF-W KTM Dirt Motorcycle – Features and Price
Exhaust
To improve power delivery and performance, the revised exhaust has a forceful punch. To make servicing and replacing the shocks simpler, all 4-stroke XCF-W models use newly designed two-piece header pipes (instead of a single portion on the predecessor). A new end cap and a slightly larger profile have been added to the aluminum muffler sleeve. For better mass centralization, they are smaller and more compact than their predecessors.
Engine
The power-to-weight ratio of the KTM 350 XCF fuel-injected W’s DOHC engine has never been better with to new camshaft design, exhaust system, and electronic fuel injection. Throughout its entire rpm range, it delivers class-leading power. As a result, the bike weighs only 61.7 lbs. (28 kg), making it almost as light and powerful as an equivalent-sized 450cc engine.
Airbox
KTM 350 XCF-new W’s airbox has been altered to optimize flow dynamics and increase power output. Despite the apparent benefits in performance, the new design gives the most excellent protection against air filter sludge. The great twin-air air filter is mounted on a solid cage that is cleverly constructed to avoid incorrect installation. Fast and straightforward filter repair without the need for any tools is a fundamental, original KTM characteristic.
Frame
All XCF-W versions come equipped with new, high-tech, lightweight Chromoly steel frames. Innovative robot welding has made hydro-formed items conceivable. After tweaking key elements, they have a more significant lateral stiffness, longitudinal stiffness and torque strength, which improves rider feel and stability, as well as enjoyable handling and stability. An aluminum engine head stay lowers vibration and helps with precise cornering since it connects the cylinder head to the frame. The bikes also feature new lateral frame guards with a structured surface that increases grip and functions as a heat barrier against the right-side muffler. Extra-light and sturdy aluminum profiles that weigh less than 2 pounds (900 grams) and are 40 mm longer than before are used to make the subframe. It improves the stability of the rear of the vehicle.
Handlebar
All KTM XCF-W models come equipped with aluminum tapered NEKEN handlebar. There are four places on the handlebar where you may place your hands. The ODI vulcanized grip is on the right side, while the ODI lock-on grip is on the left, which does not need any wire or glue. Switches on the handlebars of all versions allow for selecting alternative maps. Additionally, the rider may use TRACTION CONTROL, a unique feature that enhances traction, especially in slushy conditions, by pressing a button while in motion.
Footpegs
‘No-Dirt’ footpegs prevent the pegs from clogging even when digging into deep ruts. The Enduro models’ pegs are 6 mm higher than the SX models’, providing more ground clearance. However, you have the option to swap them out at any time.
