Exhaust
The redesigned exhaust plays a significant role in improving power delivery and performance and provides a punch that is hard to match. The new HD (heavy-duty) exhaust pipes on the 250 cc and 300 cc models have a rippling surface effect thanks to a unique 3D stamping technique. Because of this, the pipe is considerably more durable and can withstand pebbles better, and it also helps to decrease noise substantially.
Reworked internal designs for each model are included in the silencer’s redesigned form and end cap. Welded mounting brackets have taken the place of the previous plastic silencer holder. Vibration is reduced and cornering precision is improved thanks to aluminum for the laterally mounted engine head supports (the connection between the cylinder, head, and frame). Newly revised lateral frame shields with a structured surface improve grip and protect the muffler on the right side of the bike from excessive heat.

Swingarm

Front suspension
The WP XPLOR upside-down forks on all XC-W models use a split fork design created by WP and KTM. It has a spring on both sides, but each fork leg has its function: compression damping is on the left and rebounds on the right. On top of the fork tubes, a dial may be turned to modify the fork’s compression and rebound (30 clicks each). The fork already has excellent responsiveness and damping qualities, but the mid-valve piston has been tuned to provide consistent damping. The front end is kept higher in the stroke thanks to the settings, which offers excellent reserves in a bottoming out.
Rear suspension
Proven PDS (progressive damping system) rear suspension design relies on the WP XPLOR shock, which is directly coupled to the swingarm without any extra connection system. It keeps the weight down and decreases the risk of tangled in rocks. Using a second damping piston in conjunction with a closed cup at the end of the stroke and maintained by a progressive shock spring allows for the best possible damping progression for dual-sport applications.
The second piston has been enhanced, and the cup’s form and sealing have been changed to be more resistant to bottoming without sacrificing comfort for 2020. Triple clamp

Brakes

Seat
