2020 Thruxton TFC Triumph Bike – Features, Price, and Specs
Premium Custom Finish and Detailing
The new Thruxton TFC has a visually arresting carbon fiber bodywork, featuring a carbon cockpit fairing, front mudguard, seat cowl, heel guards, and silencer end caps. Additional fine details include a billet machined aluminum top yoke with TFC branding; premium brushed nickel mirror centers, a tinted screen, a stunning genuine leather seat with embroidered details, and a billet machined aluminum oil filler cap.
It is in addition to many stunning blacked-out components, such as quality black anodized multi-spoke wheels, black Ohlins RSU springs with black decals, black engine covers, and a black tail tidy. To match the black concept and genuine carbon fiber, the Thruxton TFC is offered in a single trademark paint scheme: Carbon Black with brushed knee pad details and hand-painted gold lining. And this quality gold detailing is applied to the whole motorbike, from the gold lining on the fairing to the gold detailing on the badges and instrument faces, as well as a unique gold chain.
The Thruxton TFC also maintains the brushed flip-top Monza fuel cap, the dual throttle bodies with brushed intake finishers, the Daytona R foot pegs, and the clear anodized aluminum swing arm.
More Power and Torque
The new Thruxton TFC produces 10PS more power than the Thruxton R. Significant engine modifications, including several reduced weight engine components, high compression pistons, and redesigned ports and cam profile, contribute to this. In addition to the increased horsepower, the Thruxton TFC provides an astonishing 115Nm of peak torque over the whole rpm band.
In addition, the Thruxton TFC has a premium, one-of-a-kind exhaust system with Vance & Hines titanium silencers, carbon fiber end caps, and a laser-etched co-branded emblem.
Category Leading Specification
The Thruxton TFC is five kilos lighter than the Thruxton R for a more dynamic and agile ride, as a result of engine component modifications, carbon fiber bodywork, aluminum engine cradle rails, elimination of the rear mudguard, and a lighter battery.
In addition to the weight reduction, the Thruxton TFC has a more excellent category-leading specification and equipment, including fully adjustable Ohlins upside down NIX30 front forks and fully adjustable Ohlins piggyback reservoir rear shocks with a billet machined aluminum adjusters.
In addition, there are high-specification Brembo 4-piston M4.34 radial monobloc calipers and dual floating Brembo front discs, which provide exceptional stopping power, as well as special race-specification Metzeler Racetec RR ultra-sticky tires. The premium equipment continues with a Brembo radial master cylinder, an MCS brake lever with adjustable span and ratio, and a clutch lever to match.
Highest Ever Level of Capability
Thruxton TFC’s three improved riding modes (Rain, Road, and Sport) increase the degree of rider-centric technology by adjusting throttle map, ABS, and traction control settings to fit better riding circumstances or rider desire. It is made possible by ride-by-wire technology of the most recent generation, which provides better rideability, safety, and control.
For higher visibility, reduced energy consumption, and increased longevity, the Thruxton TFC is equipped with all-LED lighting, featuring a 7-inch headlamp with a distinctive profile daytime running light (depending on the market) tiny LED indicators, tail light, and rear light.
ABS and traction control are also included for optimal safety and control; both are small, responsive, and inconspicuous in appearance. The torque-assist clutch is designed to lessen lever effort for the rider, making the motorcycle even more comfortable on long trips and during stop-and-go riding. At the same time, the USB charging port enhances convenience. A standard engine immobilizer is also included on the Thruxton TFC, with a transponder embedded in the new key with a high-value gold emblem.
