Inventor of the 4-wheel Quad Bike, Suzuki has built the world’s most unbelievable sports-utility quad with a bold appearance and more excellent capability and dependability than ever before. The KingQuad’s legacy lives on and is waiting for you to join in on the fun. With the unique characteristics of a KingQuad, each model is a breeze to ride on any surface.
2020 Suzuki KingQuad 500AXi Power Steering SE Utility ATV – Features
Key Features
Cast aluminum wheels and low-effort electronic power steering complete the angular design. Great for towing, with an all-wheel-drive system that can handle any terrain. High-torque, fuel-injected engine, and gearbox with efficient brakes, known as the QuadmaticTM system. A complete LCD instrument display and headlamps are located on the fender and handlebars. The KingQuad has many attachments that allow you to customize it for any assignment.
Engine Features
One of the most potent 4-stroke engines on the market, the SOHC, single-cylinder, 493cc, and the liquid-cooled engine is optimized to generate high peak power across a broad power range. Reduced engine and seat height are achieved by angling the cylinder head and the pistons to the front of the cylinder block. To ensure smooth functioning, the engine is equipped with a balancer shaft. It features oversized intake valves and straight intake ports for maximum cylinder efficiency. Valves may be adjusted using a simple screw and nut mechanism.
Using an SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) coating on an aluminum cylinder, which provides sound heat transmission and seals the combustion chamber wall, the cylinder becomes even more efficient. In addition to providing more power in lower rpm ranges, Suzuki’s Advanced Fuel Injection system enhances throttle responsiveness and fuel economy. Engine start-up is also improved in all-weather situations. KingQuad models that meet California’s strict emissions standards, for example, have no problem meeting US emissions regulations (eligible for green sticker registration). Maintaining a constant engine operating temperature is possible by a thermostatically regulated cooling fan and huge aluminum radiator.
Transmission Features
The QuadmaticTM CVT-type automatic gearbox offers fender-mounted gate shifters for high/low range selection. When the power is off, the ATV’s innovative engine braking system helps keep it in control on steep descents. The small torque-sensing limited-slip front differential provides light steering and powerful traction. 4WD traction is greatly improved with the use of a differential lock.
With the slight touch of a button on the handlebar, the driver may easily choose between 2WD, 4WD, and differential-lock 4WD modes. When getting out of the waste, an override button on the left handlebar may be used to bypass the standard speed limits.
Chassis Features
High-clearance fenders guard the rider from flying debris thanks to the bike’s striking, angular design. Oil level checks, gasoline, air filter servicing, etc., were made easier thanks to the body panels’ design. The KingQuad’s chassis incorporates thick-wall tubes and strengthened brackets in crucial sections to improve rider comfort, making the ATV more straightforward to ride on any terrain and boosting towing capability. To minimize steering effort and enhance tight-turning performance, the steering’s essential characteristics have been adjusted to an “under-steer” state.
It is now possible to utilize handlebars that are taller and more comfortable. Electric power steering on the KingQuad is more potent than ever before, reducing steering effort and minimizing vibration and jolts for the rider. Large diameter, gas-charged shock absorbers having five-way spring preload adjustment are part of an independent double A-arm front suspension (6.7-inch of wheel travel). An A/I beam rear suspension with 7.7 inches of wheel travel has a big diameter, gas-charged shock absorbers that can be preloaded five ways. The rider’s shock may be reduced by using a big rear stabilizer bar with a compliant bushing.
The high-friction brake pad material, fluid lines, and lever ratio combine in the twin hydraulic front disc brakes for the best stopping power. The foot brake lever ratio of the sealed, multi-plate rear brake system gives excellent rider control. Because of the clutch-type construction, the rear brakes are long-lasting, light, and easy to maintain. While on an emotional or challenging terrain ride, Suzuki’s soft T-shaped seat allows the user to move about quickly. Polyethylene skid plates defend against pebbles and uneven terrain with low resistance. Sturdy plastic shields protect Half-shafts. 25-inch Carlisle tires are lightweight; cast-aluminum wheels powder-coated black with machined spoke and rim edges. The wheels are powder-coated black.
Utility Features
Trail lighting is provided by a headlamp placed on your handlebars that puts out 35 watts of light. The KingQuad’s distinctive bodywork includes dual 35-watt headlights (with high- and low-beam settings). The ATV’s brilliant LED tail light uses less electricity and is more noticeable at night. Using the KingQuad’s substantial towing capability, a receiver-style trailer hitch installation makes it simple to pick the sort of equipment you wish to haul (up to 1322 pounds). Wire conduit and mounts that are ready for a winch make the process of installing a winch much simpler.
Service reminders based on time or mileage may be set up on the multi-function instrument panel, redesigned for better aesthetics and visibility. A speedometer, odometer, twin-trip meter and hour meter are shown on the instrument panel’s LCD. Other LCDs include fuel level, driving range, and drive mode. High, low, neutral, reverse and 2WD/4WD LED indications and LED warnings for fuel injection and engine temperature are all included. 2WD/4WD and differential-locked 4WD also have LED indicators. For simple starting and accessory usage, an 18-amp maintenance-free battery is fed by a high-output, three-phase charging system. In every home, there’s a built-in 12V auxiliary outlet.
The low-center-of-gravity positioning of the 4.6-gallon (17.5-liter) gasoline tank ensures a smooth ride. A filler cap with a ratchet-style petcock is included (which prevents overtightening so it can be easily unscrewed for refilling). Rear load capacity is increased thanks to an additional 4.0-liter storage compartment, which is conveniently situated right next to the ATV’s existing 4.0-liter left-side storage compartment.
The 2.8-liter water resistant front storage container has a screw-on top for convenient access. Wrinkle-painted steel-tube cargo racks are scratch-resistant and durable. The high footpegs on the floorboards give additional protection. Some of the many Suzuki Genuine Accessories available are snow plow with quick-release, windshield and front and rear bumpers, utility box, winches and more.
Special Features
Limited guarantee of one year. Suzuki Extended Protection offers additional advantages, such as longer coverage durations, for an additional fee (SEP). To operate, a person must be at least 16 years old.
