The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R ABS KRT Sports Motorcycle is closer than ever to the World Superbike Championship Race Machine, which has amassed numerous championships and records, thanks to finger-follower valve activation and dual-direction Kawasaki Quick Shifter during the modern electronics suite. Allows a broader range of riders to experience the thrill of pushing their limits on the circuit.

Engine
The ZX-10R engine delivers excellent horsepower thanks to development support from the World Superbike Squad, which won the Kawasaki Championship. The low-to-mid-range power is fantastic for high speeds while maintaining sufficient linear power delivery to assist the rider in opening the throttle quickly when exiting the track turn.
For quick engine response and light handling, the bike has a great moment of lightweight crankshaft and inertia. Teflon resin coating helps reduce friction, while lighter pistons improve engine response. The Ninja H2’s Long Reach Spark plugs allow extended coolant to pass through the cylinder head for maximum cooling. Advanced power features are improved with straight, comprehensive intake and exhaust ports.
Finger Follower Valve Activation
Engineers who won the Kawasaki Multimedia World Superbike Championship have built a finger-follower valve train that enables aggressive cam profiles for high performance and rapid valve opening and closing.
Compared to a tape-style process, the finger-follower valve activation valve reduces the bulk of the train by about 20% while also reducing the friction in the cam lobe. Followers have a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating that helps reduce wear.
Lightweight titanium intake and exhaust valves reduce each other’s weight. The height of the cylinder head is reduced with a compact valve train.

The red-painted valve cover gives it a unique, sharp look.
Ram Air Intake System
For maximum air box filling effect, the ram air duct is located near the front of the motorcycle. For better racing acceleration, a larger 10-liter airbox helps increase engine response and lower mid-range power. To help minimize intake noise, a resonant chamber is built into the frame spars.
Digital fuel injection
The primary electronic throttle valves (ETVs) are 47 mm in diameter and work with great accuracy to aid the smooth engine response on the track. The straightforward method also improves S-KTRC input and supports Kawasaki launch and engine brake control.
Electronics
Due to the sophisticated programming that gives the ECU an accurate, true picture of what the chassis is doing with minimal software, Kawasaki’s state-of-the-art electronics have always performed well on track. The ZX-10R’s electronic management technology, including the latest evolution of Bosch IMU and Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modeling software, helps racers realize the full potential of the ZX-10R on track.
IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) (KP)
IMU calculates inertia with five axes: longitude, transition, and vertical velocity; Roll rate; And pitch rate.
S-KTRC uses a lot of data from IMU to help improve speed while skipping the course.

Ram Air Intake System
Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC)(KP)
Racers can choose from five-plus off settings to adjust the S-KTRC thrill for different track conditions and ride preferences, thanks to the accuracy control provided by IMU. The two highest levels have very little intervention to improve the on-track experience of top-level racers.
The S-KTRC allows power slides and lifts as long as forward acceleration is maintained, which helps to improve off-turn acceleration on the track. The system gradually differentiates between a torque lift, which is allowed while maintaining a reasonable speed, and a sudden unwanted lift, which requires system intervention.
The technology determines when traction conditions are likely to be invasive and uses complex analysis to help maintain optimal traction to improve speed.
Kawasaki Engine Brake Control
Racers can choose how many engine brakes they want with the KEBC system. When KEBC is enabled (by selecting “LIGHT” in the KEBC options), the engine braking effect for smooth turn entrances on the track is reduced.
Power Mode
Riders can choose from three different power levels: full-power operation. Moderately powered – process varies based on throttle position. Low power – about 50-60% of maximum power.
It operates independently of S-KTRC.
Chassis
Aluminum backbone frame with twin spurs. Geometry has been improved for accurate circuit handling. The position of the steering head pipe helps weigh the front end for a better feeling, impression, and flicker. To save weight and welds, all-cast aluminum uses fewer components in construction. For best cornering performance, a direct path from the head pipe to the swing arm pivot is used.
To raise the center of gravity and put extra weight on the front end, the engine is strategically located in the frame. It helps the ZX-10R work with the rack angle to make it more flexible for excellent cornering performance. Showa collaborated on this project. The Balance Free Fork (BFF) has been paired with Shaw’s latest rear shock, the Balance Free Rear Cushion (BFRC), at the World Superbike Championships to give track riders maximum performance.
Showa BFRCLite-Shock Absorber (KP)
Damping valves, like forks, are located outside the shock cylinder so that the hydraulic circuit does not cause changes in the visible pressure balance seen in conventional dampers.
By placing the valve in the damping force chamber, the entire surface of the shock piston can work on the oil, resulting in a more compliant shock.
Weight loss will be followed by fatigue and constant tiredness. Riders can adjust the suspension for various situations with fully revised compression and rebound damping, as well as threaded preload.
