The new 2020 Honda CB300R ABS Sports Bike is the smartest—and most enjoyable—way to get about, yet it hasn’t yet been found. There are no full-fairings on this bike, and it isn’t a conventional naked bike either. For the manner we ride now, we call it a “Neo-Sports Café.” To keep things new, we’ve altered the colors of the tank, wheels, shrouds, and headlamp trim on our lightweight, agile, and responsive model for 2020. Even anti-lock brakes are included. One thing is for sure: the CB300R is an excellent, cost-effective option.
2020 Honda CB300R ABS Sports Bike – Features and Price
Design
The machine’s blacked-out hardware is on view thanks to the styling’s purposeful minimalism. It’s also spotless, giving the naked-bike culture a hard-edged vibe. Everything that it does to support the rider and passenger seats and nylon rear mudguard mount is scarcely noticeable. Aluminum is used to construct the foot-peg hangers for both the driver and the passenger.
Using a tiny, full-function LCD instrument display, you can see speed, engine rpm, fuel level, and gear position, as well as an array of warning lights at the top. Full LED illumination, including turn indicators, provides a premium feel and helps the best possible mass centralization. The taillight is the smallest ever placed on a Honda motorbike, and the headlamp has a dual-bar light signature. The CB1000R’s gasoline tank has the same fundamental theme as the CB1000R, proving that family bloodlines run deep. Attitude.
Chassis/Suspension
The CB300R ABS’s frame is made of high-tensile steel tubing and pressed steel, with the steel pivot plate isolated from the mainframe, helping to reinforce its minimalist form and drawing on the same Neo-Sports Café concept as the CB1000R. Through this design, each component could be improved in terms of strength and profile, mainly by using thin steel tubing and steel sheet, notably for the primary frame between the head and seat rails. The primary structure is both strong and light at the same time. Rigidity and performance are enhanced by the swing arms’ thicker cross member and thinned wall thickness approaching the hollow rear axle.
The bike’s agile handling is aided by lightweight aluminum wheels that share the same design as the rest of the CB range. Compliant damping and spring rate of 41mm inverted forks are reduced to a single shock with seven levels of spring preload adjustability. Positive front-end grip and simple steering can be achieved with a 49.6/50.4 front/rear weight bias thanks to the low 317-pound wet weight and 53.3-inch wheelbase. 31.5 inches is the height of the seat.
With a 296mm floating front rotor and a four-piston radial-mount Nissin caliper, the 220mm rear disc and a single-piston caliper provide excellent stopping power. For accurate control of the front-to-back distribution of ABS operation, a two-channel ABS operates via an inertial measurement unit (IMU). In addition to the usual 150/60R-17 rear tires and 110/70R-17 front tires, Dunlop radial tires are included. Many of the vehicle’s heavier components (such as the engine, muffler, rear shock, battery, and ABS modules) have been organized in a way that provides a perfect center of gravity for agile handling.
Engine
With its small 286cc DOHC four-valve, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine (shared with the CBR300R), the CB300R ABS’s free-revving, the snappy character has won over many admirers. So even though it has an exhilarating revving style, this engine functions well in real-world road-riding situations throughout the town and on the highway.
There is a compression ratio of 10.7:1 on this engine. With a 38mm throttle bore and straight-shot intake route, PGM-FI fuel injection produces precise throttle response across the RPM range. The right-side dual-chamber muffler on the underslung exhaust helps the car’s ultra-linear throttle response because of the decreased air resistance.
As a result, the engine is intended to have the fewest moving components possible. For example, features like low-friction piston rings and an iridium spark plug contribute to better fuel economy. Initial acceleration has been enhanced by 4% due to the weight-saving measures and the redesigned intake architecture. With a Honda Care Protection Plan, you may extend the one-year, unlimited-mileage limited warranty.
