A Polished Powerhouse

The newly launched 2017 KTM 690 Duke Naked has brilliant LC4 showcases twenty-four carats of fun. It features 690 cm3 thumper with 73 horsepower (54 kW) and 74 Nm of torque. This engine features entirely new cylinder head, inserted in the new ultra-light and incredibly high piston and connection rod. It has the best air intake through the resonating chamber and it provides the crankshaft with the sleeve bearing. The new powerband gives more smooth power delivery especially in the mid to high rev range. The twin ignition contains the plug-selective mapping, rock solid but has a little weight.

The new exhaust system helps in smooth performance of the engine, which is monitored by an advanced ride-by-wire system. This system ensures low fuel consumption and fewer emission figures. This sports bike features upside-down fork of 43 mm diameter and has pivot-arm articulated pressurized-gas mono shock. The front wheel features four-piston, radially mounted, fixed brake calliper bites on the floating 320 mm of a disc. Fun-Loving Electronics

The newly launched 2017 KTM 690 Duke Naked comes with three different ride modes i.e. Sport, Street and Rain. These various methods give better power delivery, and they monitor the traction control system. The Sport and Rain modes are available as an optional extra in the Track Pack. The new traction control allows different levels of rear wheel slippage. It gives full supervision in the rain and features mastering controlled power slides out of corners. The Traction Control (TC) is available as an integrated part of the optional Travel Pack. It has new Motor Slip Regulation (MSP) that avoids the rear wheel lock-up when rider chops the throttle or drops the clutch on downshifts. The MSR is also offered as an optional extra and as an integrated part of Trak pack. Like the previous versions of KTM 690 Duke Naked, this new bike features a multi-color combination of relevant information; it is presented in the best way. It includes speed, revs and current gear with coolant temperature. The display bar changes colour due to change in the rev of the engine. This display automatically adapts the illumination to the ambient light. Moreover, the rider also has access to the selected riding modes and to adjust them; there are four illuminated keys on the left handlebar. The new dual-circuit ABS have the 9M+ modulator. It is finely tuned in cooperation with the Bosch offering the best protection against the over-braking. It also maintains the full effect and excellent feedback due to its hypersensitive sensors. This ABS only weighs about one kilogramme and gives the best performance. There is a Supermoto mode for an experienced rider; this mode can be activated by using push button. When this system is activated, it will only control the front brakes; rear brakes are entirely up to the right foot of the rider.
