The newly launched KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017 bike comes with the 1,301 ccs V-Twin engine offering a 160 horsepower and torque of 140 Nm. The 108 Nm torque is available at 2,500 rpm. Due to this much power, this bike has got the name of “The Beast”. The engine features new cylinders with the newly developed cylinder head and the new crankshaft. It also features a twin plug ignition system that controls the two differently sized spark plugs. These spark plugs are positioned in each cylinder head independently for optimised combustion.
